Something very strange happened tonight. I'm hoping someone can explain. Here's the story--
I have been stalking the website to see if anything at Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge would show up for our November trip. We were booked in an AKV value studio for 7 nights but really wanted a couple of nights at WL either at the beginning of our trip or the end. Well, sure enough Copper Creek showed up tonight for two nights. I had to move our trip forward a night to do it, but we are retired and pretty flexible in our schedule. When I went to book them, my points had done a switcheroo. I know with 100% certainty that I had 21 HHI points and 0 AKV points in my 2021 UY. In fact, a few days ago, I booked an AKV value studio for one night of our February trip and had to borrow 9 AKV points from 2022 since I had no AKV points. But when I went to book the CCV studio tonight, it showed 21 AKV points and 0 HHI points. Why on earth would the points have switched? I went ahead and booked because I knew I would lose the CCV studio if I didn't proceed. Can MS do anything about it? (A side question--I had to borrow 11 AKV points to complete the reservation, but then I had to cancel the two nights in the AKV value studio, thus returning 18 points to my 2021 UY. I'm assuming that the 11 points can't be returned to 2022 so that 2021 points can be used, correct?)

I can’t explain about the points other than to advise to go to your points activity statement and see exactly what it shows for each contract and all the moves you have made.

If there is something there that doesn’t seem right, at least you will have that info when calling MS for them to investigate for you.

And you are correct, they will not return borrowed points now that you have others, That was a temporary rule change during Covid but it ended Mpay 1st
