Points, cash reservation linked together?

For example, if we use points for 4 days and pay cash for the other 3, can these be linked and make one reservation?

Yes, as long as the cash reservation is made through Member Services.

Rod is correct. If you make a reservation through DRC, you won't be able to link the reservation. You will have to check out and check back in and you may have to move. Some room categories that are available on points are not available for cash (that goes for MS cash rooms as well).
