Points calculator inaccurate?

Hello...I have been searching and searching these threads for an answer but have not found it. I apologize in advance if this is posted elsewhere. My question is...Is it possible that the points calculator is incorrect in some instances? For example, I am looking at OKW in early April(3 or 4th -8 or 9th) and the calculator is telling me I would need over 100 points. However, when i do the math by using the points chart, i end up with around 65 points. Am i missing something? Perhaps i am just terrible at math

I just tried the points calculator on the member website for OKW studio. Apr. 3 - 8 comes out at 70 points and Apr. 4 - 9 comes out at 75 points.

Those dates are in Magic Season. For a studio trip Starting Sunday, April 3:

April 3: 14
April 4: 14
APril 5: 14
April 6: 14
APril 7: 14
April 8: 19
April 9: 19

Arriving April 3, departing April 9 would be 89 points. Arriving April 3, departing April 10 would be 108 points.

It is certainly possible the DIS Point Calculator is inaccurate, I don't know who does the programming for it. Try the one on the Member Site, if you are a DVC member, or the one on David's rental site, by clicking the banner at the top of the Rent/Trade board.

April 3 - 8 says 70 points for a studio, 150 points for a 1 BR - from David's DVC by Request calculator.

Not sure what calculator you are using.

My own look @ the charts shows
Studio - April 3 - 8 is 5 weeknights, so 5 x 14 pts/nt = 70
1 BR - 5 x 30 = 150 pts

same as what the calculator I used came up with.

The points calculator attached to the DIS points chart for OKW does indeed give 100 points as the result. I notice that it also says "DCV" instead of "DVC," so apparently whoever is maintaining that part of the site has some issues. I reported the error.

And thanks, Chuck S for the link to David's site. It confirmed 70 pts for a studio from 4/3-4/8. Phew! Much better than 100!
