We have an April use year, would our new points become current on April 1 or April 30?

You start your UY on the first day of the month. But you can book a stay with those points during the previous UY. So if you wanted to use those points for a stay starting April 1, you would book that stay at your home resort May 1 the previous year.

You don't have to wait until April 1 to book with those points.

Thanks all, I know all about banking and borrowing. We actually already have two trips booked for 2014 with our 2014 points, but DH just brought up the possibility of a weekend in late April which would mean pulling from our 2015 points, and I just wanted to make sure they would be available by then.
