Points about to Expire . . Banked

Great News!
We purchased a April use year contract for BCV with 150 points about to expire.

Because of the advice on this board, I went ahead and called Member Services just to see if we could bank those 2004 points.

THEY SAID YES!!!!

Maybe I read your post wrong, but are you sure that you banked the entire 150pts with an April 2004 use year at this late date? If you got a confirmation # of the transaction then great and you were lucky!

But I have an April use year as well and I know that the 2004 points had to be banked by the end of September to bank the full amount (150 in your case). After that the amount you can bank decreases. In Feb and March of 2005, you would not be able to bank April 2004 points and they will be lost if you don't use them or rent them.

Now April 2005 points won't expire until Mar 2006 and you have until September of this year to bank them 100%.

Please correct me if I misunderstood your post.

I just purchased the contract last week. It was for 150 BCV points with an April use year. There were 150 points left from 2004.

I did receive a confirmation number, and the CM explained that I have 300 points that I need to use by 3/31/06.

The difference is obviously due to the fact that you just acquired the contract. Thank you for clearing that up for me.

MS is correct you will have 2004 and 2005 totaling 300pts to use before Mar 31 '06. Just remember, if you don't think you will use all or part of 2005 before they expire in Mar '06, then bank them by the end of September and they will roll over to expire 2007.

I've heard they sometimes make exceptions on the banking. It never hurts to ask if you have an extenuating circumstance.
