Point transfers for dummies

I have a question about transferred points and I hope someone can help!

1. Do transferred points maintain their original use year, or do they take on the use year of the contract transferred into?

Based on the answer to this question, I may have another!

They maintain the resort and UY of the original owner. They do not morph into your points.

Thanks for the link....I was looking to see if transferred points could then be borrowed, and it seems they cannot.
