Point Transfer Wanted Please

I need 28 more points to get my daughter on the May 2011 cruise with my current plan. The DVC person tried to explain to me the points have to be good for may 2011 and cannot expire before then. Any ideas? I am a very new DVC member and want to surprise my wife and kids.
