Point transfer questions

First off, is it true I can not transfer points to someone if they are banked points? If this is true, is there any way to let someone else use them?

Then how do I go about transferring points to someone? What information do I need from them?

It's to a good friend so I'm not worried about the transfer at all.

Banked and Borrowed points can not be transferred. Transferred points can be banked.

You could make a reservation in their name.
