Point transfer question

I have a friend who owns at Vero. Could o transfer points to her and have her make a reservation for me at 11 months? We’d want to go in the summer and I’m not sure how hard it is to get rooms there at 7 months

Transferred points retain their home resort priority. Transferring your non-vero points to your friend doesn't make them vero points, so, no, this won't work.

You could transfer your points to them for them to use elsewhere if they agree to book vero for you with their points. Does that make sense?

And as far as VB availability goes at 7 months out for summer, the 3BR beach cottages are usually missng multiple days during any given week, the inn rooms are usually easy to get, and other room sizes are often open but it can sometimes be hit or miss on desired dates, e.g. any given room size may be missing a day or two during any given week.

We go to Disney Vero Beach every summer and we do not own there. If you're flexible for the exact week/time you want to go, you can find something. We have never (over the past 11 years) not been able to get a reservation. But, we are flexible on when we go. Definitely start looking right at the seven month window for best options. And as others have noted, the cottages are the most challenging if that that is what you are looking for. This summer was particularly busy vs past years (as it has been with many DVC resorts) and so we ended up with two studios instead of a 1BR or 2BR. First time that has happened. We've waitlisted for the other rooms but otherwise we're good to go.
