Point Transfer Clarification

Could somebody please be so kind to clear up for me how this transfer should work?

I have an October use year.
My friend has a June use year.

She is going to transfer some points to me for my December 2011(next year) DVC stay so that I do not have to dip into my 2012 points.

When she calls MS to do the transfer, does she have to wait until her 2011 points have been issued (next year in June) or can she tell them that she wants to transfer points from her 2011 use year into my 2011 use year?

She just has to tell them she wants to transfer some of her 2011 UY points and does not need to wait.

I believe that I read that you can call and do a transfer of your current UY and your next UY points.

She has the option of transferring June 2010 points which you can then bank and use for a Dec 2011 trip, or June 2011 points which you can use without banking.

Moreover, if she reached an MS person who actually is savvy on the transfer rules, she could transfer points from June 2010 allotment (which you could bank) and also from the June 2011 allotment. That would not violate the one transfer per use year rule because it would be separate transfers from two different use years and it would be considered separate transfers into two of your use years. However, if you try to do that there is a risk the MS rep will not understand that can be done.

Awesome, thanks bunches. I thought the use year could be designated for the transfer, but needed to be sure.
