I am such a dummy when it comes to this stuff!

Where is the chart that tells me how many points I need if I want to stay at, for instance, Beach Club Villas during October?

I'm seeing a ton of contracts for 250 points, is that enough for two vacations each year if you avoid peak seasons?

And does the points needed to stay at your resort - does that change each year? Or is it locked?

Look at the top of the page, just under the banner ad for the Timeshare Store. It's the link farthest to the right.

Probably. Depends on villas size & length of stay as well as time of year. We get at least three 6-7 night trips over two years in a 1 bedroom SV at BWV.

Pretty much locked. Since Easter moves every year, so does Premier season. The two weeks surrounding Easter are always Premier. DVC can change the point requirements for a particular resort, but the total number of points to book every night of the year for every villa cannot change. So if something goes up, something else goes down. These reallocations are rare. (And I've paraphrased the reallocation rules).
