Hi all. We have been DVC members for a little over a year but I'm still learning so I was hoping someone could help me out. I am planning a small trip for my daughter and I this coming May and would like to use my points to stay at PORS because we have other family staying there at the same time. I cannot seem to find point charts for the moderate resorts. I have my book but it's from 2007 and I would like to see the current chart. Anyone know where I can find this? I tried to call DVC but they are closed today. I have googled my heart out but can't seem to find anything. Thanks for any help you can offer. :thumbsup2

In terms of points usage, you'd be WAY better off staying at one of the nearby DVC resorts like OKW and SSR. Plus there's the $95 fee, and if you cancel, your points can only be used for non-DVC purposes.

I agree! :thumbsup2

Depending on when in May you're planning to travel, a Friday - Monday stay with a standard view at PORS would cost 88 or 93 points. A studio at OKW would be 58 points, and at SSR 62. Of course, you wouldn't be right there with those other family members. But then, with some families that might not be such a bad thing! ;)

Not only that, but if you need to make any changes like adding a day or changing dates, it will cost you an additional $95 each time! Then it's really not considered a moderate stay considering the cash you lay out!

OP here - I am now realizing what you all are saying. Wow! The difference in the DVC resorts vs. moderates is crazy:crazy2: Guess I'll just have to suck it up and stay at AKV. Poor me:rotfl: The fam can come visit me for dinner at Boma.:thumbsup2

Now you're talkin'! ::yes::

I am sure your family will be quite happy to visit you at AKL. :) You being there will provide a perfect excuse for them to venture to another resort during their vacation.

Going OT on my own thread here, but where do you get those cute little pics of the DVC resorts in your signatures? And are they where you've stayed or where you own? Just curious?? Thanks:)

Check out this thread: For all

For me, it where we own.

I have also noticed those icons and have been wondering where they come from. I assume they are the resorts you own.

OP, do you have access to the DVC member site yet? Since you have a book from 2007, I would assume you should...

The non-DVC points charts are available under "View Vacation Points Charts" on the right, then under "The Disney Collection" banner - "Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida". It is a PDF file with two pages.

Prepare for points shock.
