Point advice please

I'm a newbie and have a point usage scenario that I hope some veterans can give me some advice. We just bought 150 with Sept use year. I have reservation in Nov that uses 129 points, so I have 21 pts left. I know I can carry them into 2004 but I know I won't use them as our next trip will be DCL in 2005. I plan to bank my 2004 into 2005 and borrow from 2006 to do a December cruise in 2005. I think my only choices are:

-bank the 21 pts knowing I will lose them because I won't use them in 2004.
-stay an extra night in Nov, but that costs 23 pts, I'm 2 pts short, can I rent 2 pts? (I've never seen this low amount for rent)
-Try to sell 21 pts (again, I've never seen this low amount for rent, so don't think I'll have much luck)

Advice please?

In your situation, my first choice would be to stay an extra night. I'd borrow the 2 extra points required. You don't need exactly 3 times your annual point allotment for the cruise, do you? Even if you think you do, cruise points are likely to go up before 2005, and you will find your self short for the cruise anyway. If you are short for the cruise, it probably won't matter much if it is 2 points or more than 2 points. You could try to find another member at that time to transfer the "shortage" into your account. You'd pay him/her the going rental rate for points to do that. (Also, it's a long time before 12/2005. Lots of things, including your choice of vacation could change before then).

My second choice would be to stay the extra night and try to find a member to transfer you the extra two points. Again you'd pay the going rate for rental points. Yu can post your request over on the Rent/Trade Forum.

My third choice would be to post on the Rent/Trade Board and offer to transfer the 21 points to another member for the going rate. Someone may be short a small amount for this year and be willing to rent them from you.

Thank you, I don't know why I didn't think of borrowing 2 points!!!
That's what we'll do, borrow 2 pts and stay an extra night.
