We had a wonderful time at WDW. POFQ was wonderful. We had building 3, 2nd floor, rooms 3235 and 3236, connecting rooms. Maid service each day placed my DGD’s Princess dolls, and her Mickey & Minnie’s around. She had them in a group watching TV 1 day and just doing various things throughout the week, on top of the bed post, on the dresser etc. Mouse keeping was great this week we had excellent service. Tinkerbell visited almost every night to my DGD, 1st night Tink brought her a little Mickey and Minnie plush doll and a Tinkerbell wobbler. A deck of Princess playing cards the 2nd night. Tinkerbell small tablet of paper along with a writing board and Tinkerbell pin. The last night she brought a Tinkerbell Cup and Princess Erasers that DGD had seen and asked for.

When we arrived on property, it just looked and felt peaceful. We really liked the looks of the reception area. The childrens corner was really nice for the kids, coloring pages, crayon and tv with of course Disney on it. They had little chairs and small rocking chairs for the children. My DGD enjoyed it a little bit as we did not have much of a wait at all. Upon check in, Sept 3rd at 4:00 pm, we waited less than a minute to get to a CM. Ours was very nice and upbeat. She explained the dining plan, the layout of the POFQ etc. The hotel was everything we hoped for. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. We were used to a king-size bed, but we had no problems with the double bed. We had 4 in our room, me, my DH, my DMIL and my DGD. My DS and a childhood friend in the other room. I found the room to be spacious enough and enjoyable to be in with the décor. On the days we were in the room more than just sleeping we were not crowded by any means. Plenty of room in the vanity area of the bathroom. The refrigerator was great, the dresser had ample room for clothes as well as the closet area. We enjoyed the pool area, playground and the boat to POR and DTD was great. Bus service was not bad. We waited around 10minutes at the most, except for 1 night at MK after the fireworks, we waited about 20 minutes. One evening coming back from MK our Driver pointed out some deer, and other animals that she had seen on the way to pick us up. The animals were still out and it was really nice to see them and to have someone who obviously knew the area to point them out to us. All of our drivers were super nice and very helpful.

We saw Rabbits in one of the little gardens one evening at dusk and the 2nd day we were there my DGD and myself received a call from the front desk that we had an envelope at the front desk. We went down and asked where we would pick up an envelope? The front desk manager was out front and said I will get that for you as I left you the message this morning. It was 2 Magical Moments Certificates for my DGD and myself for our Birthdays. I cannot wait to go back to POFQ, I don't think we will even try anywhere else. We absolutely loved everyone and everything about the hotel. :sunny:

Thanks for posting! We're going to be staying at POFQ for our first time in a few weeks! Now I'm even more excited!

I hope your experience is as great as ours. The food court was quiet good as well. We ate breakfast there a couple of times and lunch once. Anything in the bakery area was available as a desert for the counter service meal. :flower:

Thanks for all the great info. We are staying there for the first time in December and we hoping it would be nice since we've only stayed at deluxe resorts in the past.

Diane I have never had the pleasure to stay at a Deluxe. I would think the main differences would be the size of the bed and the room may be a little smaller. But as for everything else, it was very nice. The beds were so comfortable. Have a great trip. :flower:

Your stay sounds wonderful, I stayed there on my first trip w/o my hubby and I had my DD who was a toddler at the time and the trip was really hard for me emotionally but the staff there made my stay somewhat enjoyable, I loved the fact that it is smaller than other resorts and easier to get to everything. I am hoping to go back at christmas time next year :cool1:

Sounds fantastic! We're staying there for the first time in January. The only other place I've been on-site was at Shades of Green. And Hubby has never stayed on-site. (He hasn't even been in over 15 years.) We are so excited about going. We don't have any little ones yet, so we chose the resort based on the fact that we heard it was fairly romantic and peaceful.

This trip will be a somewhat belated first anniversary trip for us, and we wanted something where we could enjoy it being just the two of us, but where we could also express the kid in us.

Thanks so much for your PORFQ review!

We'll be there very soon and am glad to hear you had a wonderful stay!

We'll be staying there in just 5 weeks and your review has made me more excited for this trip than I have been. We walked to FQ on our last trip to Riverside, and our whole family said we'd like to stay at FQ next time because of how peaceful yet still w/in the Disney Magic the resort is. :cool1:

Thanks for the review. We will be staying there for the first time ever in December. It's our first trip to WDW as well.

We are checking in this Saturday and your review makes our decision to stay at POFQ sound like the right one! I am glad you had such a relaxing trip!

Thanks for posting. We too will be there in mid - December right before the holidays. Can you elaborate more on the bus service there? I have been debating whether or not to get a rental car. Any thoughts?

Thanks....

Thanks so much for your review. I'm taking my 73 y/o mom for her first ever trip to WDW in Dec and we're doing a split stay between POFQ and CSR. I want this trip to be perfect for her as we've all had a very rough year. It sounds like POFQ may be just what she needs.

We never needed a vehicle. We drove and had one if we needed it, but we really did not. The service is great. We even came back to the room a couple of time and changed for dinner then headed off to various places. The only time a car would have been ok was to go to DTD if the Boat had stopped for the evening. As long as you go back before 11:00 you can get the boat. The bus runs until 12:00 and then you have to go to Pleasure Island Bus Depot to catch one back, so if you are doing Disney Only I would not waste money on a car rental.
