POFQ vs. Royal Plaza vs. Pop

Looking for input for a very short trip. We'll only be going to the Halloween party and we are driving so a car isn't an issue.

Any thoughts? I'm incapable of making a decision right now. Ugh!

I've stayed at all 3 resorts and I think it comes down to your preference. If you're looking for a "Disney" experience I'd opt for either POFQ or POP. Royal Plaza is a fantastic hotel, and has quite possibly some of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on, but the Disney magic just wasn't there. That was okay though for me at the time. I was 22 and it was a long weekend, girlfriend trip.

Out of POFQ and POP I'd go with POFQ any day of the week. I love it there. It's small and nicely themed, and allows guests to take advantage of all that POR has to offer. I've only stayed at a value once, that being POP, and while it was nice it was just too large, noisy and busy for me personally.

We've never done a value and Pop just looks noisy. Being a teacher, I love kids. But I don't need the noise on vacation.

Do yourself a favor and dont do royal plaza! We did a fast last minute trip last week and could not get a room at wdw...I will NEVER again stay at a non wdw resort,we got hit with all kinds of fees that they did not tell us about (booked over the phone) and it is CRAZY to PAY 10.00 a day to park at a resort that I PAID for a room at! I am glad some friends were staying at all stars so we drove there and rode with them in their van to the park, the "shuttle" was awful.We had a tower room but there was water in the tub when we checked in,there was no tv remote (tv would work without it) and I BROKE my tub on a popped up stone(took pic) by the pool.They had horrid cust.service, very rude and not helpfull at all.
We always stay at disney resorts and now I know why so we will never do that again.To note,Its not about the money with the 10.00 parking BUT I dont get the paying for parking at your own resort...oh and the whole time we were there the gate was broke so it was up so its not like anyone couldnt just park there since they do not give parking tickets for your car.They also wanted to use my debit card to put a hold for a security deposit..ummm NO , I told them no way no how where they getting my debit card, i was NOT told at all that this was done,of course because when we stay at disney they never take a deposit so without being told I had no clue.I found it funny they were worried about US hurting the room when the tv wouldnt work and the phone was broke . ok sorry VENT OVER

You've obviously done several trips at POR, so that's a known quantity. We've stayed at PORFQ and loved it.

As far as POP, the only advice I can give you is actually from my kindergarten-teacher daughter. She prefers to leave other people's kids home on vacation!
