WOO HOO!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Ok the bad news is that I NEED HELP!!! Let me give you a history. :)

Only been to Disney a few times, stayed at a deluxe or DVC resort, and clueless about the rest of WDW. Really want to make this a good trip because DH and I have never been alone!

Profile of us: Married, no kids, love Disney World, non smokers

*Are all king rooms corner rooms?
*I would preferably want a king room, 3rd floor, corner room, river view :teeth: Has anyone had one of those??
*What building is a good choice? I don't want to be by the pool...want to be away more, near courtyards or something.
*Are refillable mugs worth it?
*Any hidden places we should look for?

*ANY OTHER TIPS??

I can't help you on the king room question, as I've always had a room with double questions, but I think I can help on the other questions :)

First off, great choice. The POFQ is my favorite of any resort on Disney property. I love the atmosphere, and the size of the resort. The cast there has always been fantastic--always going out of the way to help.

Some rooms in buildings 2 and five face the pool. I'm sure if you tell them you don't want to overlook the pool, they should be able to accomodate you.

If you drink soda or coffee, the mugs are definitely worth the price. I figure on a six day trip, filling the mug just once a day pays for the mug. I love the mugs as a keepsake from my trip, too.

I really enjoy walking around the resort. It's so quaint. Make note of the street names. The walk to the POR is nice. Maybe 10 minutes along the river. And the boat ride to Downtown Disney is nice and relaxing too.

Hope that helps.

Karen

I was in a King room in building 4. Room 4119. It was a corner room but no water view. Close to the food court and buses. I bought the mugs but i do not think they are worth it. They are really small inside and you have to make a lot of trips...

I've heard that all the king rooms are corner rooms?? I haven't stayed there though....looks nice though :)

Thanks for your comments Karen ;)

leopardspot....what was your view of? Did you have two windows? Just curious :)

niks81...I thought they all had corner rooms too, but I just am trying to verify! :)

Ok, for as many praise comments as I see on here about POFQ I know some veterans are out there!!!

I am pretty sure that all king rooms are corner rooms, and thus have 2 sets of windows(one on each wall), so they tend to be brighter, which is nice. It is a nice resort to walk around, fairly compact in comparison ot others, but not crowded feeling.

My recommendation is to request what you want and hope for the best.

I had a courtyard view with 2 windows. I could also see the beginning of the parking lot if I tried real hard...
