POFQ to UCF arena without a car!!!

Just noticed The Killers are playing at the UCF arena whilst i'm there with my friend. We are HUGH fans and there are tickets available but i have no idea how i'll get there and back without a car. Rang mears and they will arrange a car but it's $109 each way. Taxi estimator says $75 each way but that was a bit off last year we thought. Don't want to get stuck in the centre of orlando. Any ideas?

Both alamo & national will pick you up at the hotel & take you to their office to rent a car for the day, then drop you back off at the hotel...would probably be a LOT cheaper to rent a small car for the day then take a taxi.

Thought about that but can't imagine driving on the wrong side of the road. Wouldn't think twice about it at home.

I think it should be a condition of my entry into the US that i don't even try. I even crashed my shopping trolley at the supermarket the other day!!

Just like DisneyWorld isn't near Orlando downtown, neither is UCF. Too bad on driving as an option for you as the drive is 95% highway and actually very easy to get to as UCF is just off of SR 417 at University Drive East. Here's a map:

If driving isn't an option, then town car or taxi is your best bet unless you can find some friendly locals going to the show to pick you up. You may want to post on the Disney College board to see if anyone there fits the "friendly local" bill.
