POFQ to Islands?

We are going to WDW in December and staying at POFQ - we'd really like to spend 1 day at WWHP - I'm wondering what the easiest way would be to get from our hotel to Harry Potter - AND what the cheapest way to go about getting 1 day tickets is? I've never done Universal before so I'm at a complete loss!

As far as one day tickets are concerned, you might want to check AAA for any discounts that may be out there.

Our family used Mears to get from POR to Universal. It was $16/person round-trip. They picked us up right at the lobby.

Do you remember what time you got picked up? I'm trying to find out the earliest time Mears picks up. We're also staying at POR! TIA!
