It was my understanding that building 4 at POFQ was a standard view...I wanted the cm to note it on my ressie-she wouldn't saying this is a preferred building...
Is this true? :confused3

We requested Bldg. 4 last year at POFQ because we heard it was close proximity to the bus and the food court. It was nice but it is a standard view for sure.

I don't think there's a preferred bldg at POFQ. The resort is so small, it doesn't need it. We stayed at bldg 3, it was a good location, not far from everything. But I don't think I would want to stay in bldg 7 though. It is a little bit far... I don't mind bldg 1. Bldg 5 and 4 is very close to everything.

Well I know the buildings right by the pool are definately preferred buildings-that is what I read anyways..but this is the first I have heard about bldg 4 being one.
It would be great, next to the parking lot, food court and bus stop-perfect!!

There are no designated preferred buildings at POFQ. The only moderate resort with preferred buildings is the CBR. The only differentiation between rooms at POFQ is either Standard or Water. HTH! :flower:

I always request building four, and have never had a problem getting it. Call back and talk to another cast member, and I'm sure they'll put in your request :)

There are water view rooms at the French Quarter but no preferred buildings like at the All Stars. Last summer we stayed in building 5 facing the courtyard and I loved it :flower: We were steps to everything and had a beautiful yard right outside our door!

I wanted to stay in building 4 cause it was close to everything. Than i found out that building 4 and 2 have alot of smoking rooms. I cant be around smoking due to a medical condition. So i decided request 7 cause its close to the bus stop. I rather be close to the bus stop when i'm tired and want to get to my room. I dont mind walking to the food court, and i figured the rooms near the pool would be the most crowded with children. Me and my bf are young 21 and 24 so walking is not an issue. Hope i made the right choice.

We stayed at the POFQ twice last year and loved it. Truely the resort is small enough that most buildings are close to everything. Your choice of rooms are standard view, waterview or a room with a King bed.
As other posters indicated there are no preferred buildings at the POFQ only the CBR. I have stayed in buildings 3 and 5, and both were close to the pool and the main building. Our room in building 5 was a bit closer to everything as as we faced the pool side of the courtyard, in #3 we faced the otherside with a nice view of a courtyard, but not the pool. My mother and sister were in building #2 as they wanted a smoking room.
My mother actually preferred this resort over the Poly!

Thanks for the help,I plan on calling back and requesting bldg 3 or 4!

Enjoy POFQ! It is a very pretty quaint resort!! Once you're there, you'll find the resort small and that you will not be disappointed whichever bldg you get. But hope that the bldg that you chose will be granted.

On my next trip, I am requesting bldg 5, 3 or 1. 3rd floor non-smoking. I always like the highest floor, this way no one is above me. Have fun!!

Prior to this past Spring at POFQ we had always stayed in a building flanking the pool. This year we were in Building 6 and I at first thought it would be far away, but it isn't. We were just fine. And it is a short walk from the bus stop to building 6. That is the charm of POFQ, nothing is too far.

I wouldn't worry about which building.
