Does anyone know what rooms in building 4 face the courtyard. I was looking at the map and wondered if any of bldg 4 has a water view. I dont want a water view just would like to request looking at the courtyard over the parking lot/ bus stop? any help would be appreciated. THANK YOU :-)

You're actually MUCH better off requesting a room just as you wrote it here, rather than requesting by room number. If the room numbers you list in your request are all unavailable, then they'll just put you "anywhere" -- you can't expect the room assigners to be psychic and know or assume why you requested those room numbers. But if you request it exactly as you did, but all of the Building 4 rooms that qualify are taken, perhaps they'll make sure not to assign you to a "parking lot view" in another building.

To me, the "view" at any of Disney's Moderate resorts doesn't matter a hill of beans, since I'm not one to leave my curtains wide open (since the world is walking past my room and I'd have zero privacy).

And no, there's no water anywhere near Building 4, so there are no water view rooms there.

And while I'm at it, I also want to make sure you appreciate the relatively tiny size of POFQ. If you look at the map, find the farthest corner of Building 1, and then find the food court. I timed that walk at 3 minutes 20 seconds at a normal pace. That's the farthest walk anyone would need to take within the resort, and that's pretty awesome. Before I ever saw POFQ, I put in my reservation "close to bus stop and food court." I didn't get my request. I got a room at the far end of Building 2, 3rd floor. I was disappointed at check-in, until I found my room. Time to walk to the food court? Two minutes flat. Less than a minute to the pool.

I love POFQ. I hope you do, too.

I had a friend who paid for a water view room last December and had a top floor room in building 4, near food court, that did have a view of water!

Who knew? ;)

I don't think you can go wrong with any room at POFQ. I definitely would NOT want a room facing the pool like I had three weeks ago. Fortunately it was too cold for swimmers and worked out fine for me. I was in Building 5.
I agree with CleveRocks....I don't leave my curtains open, so the view doesn't matter to me at a Moderate or Value.;)

When we were at POFQ, we ended up in Building 3 facing away from the pool. This was the best, as it was near everything, but faced away from the pool noise, which was very loud until 10-11 PM each night. We actually WANTED building 4, because of it's proximity to the bus stop.

My advice is anywhere in Buildings 3, 4, 5 and 6 is good. I don't understand the appeal of a "water view", at what point when you are in your room do you spend time looking out the front window. I don't think we would look out the window for 5 minutes at POFQ, even with a water view. Gimmie a clean room convenient to the pool, food court and bus stop, and if I'm looking at a brick wall, that's fine with me.

Let's look at the map. What can be considered water view in Building 4? Is there a fountain somewhere??? I'm not trying to be sarcastic, I'm totally serious. I've been there and I just can't figure it out!

With the help of a great CM we ended up requesting, courtyard or garden view. Apparently there are a large number of rooms meething this criteria so we have a good chance of a nice view.

We will be checking into FQ in 68 short! days. We have also requested a garden or courtyard view which I hope we get. I do not want to be overlooking the pool, so I hope they save that area for those who want it!! We have only been to FQ & POR to check things out & feel like it is such a intimate beautiful resort. Even if we got the corner room top floor of building 1, I know I would enjoy walking the gorgous grounds. If I didn't want to enjoy that I guess I would stay off property!;)

I agree with CleveRocks about the view. The view you have is watching other people watch you! I have stayed at POFQ several times. I like some room locations more than others, but the view was never a consideration!

You'll be in luck in NOT getting a pool view. A room overlooking a pool is considered "water view" at all 4 of WDW's Moderate resorts (no, that actually wasn't a joke!). Since people pay extra for water view and reserve it in advance, it's doubtful you'll be "stuck" with one of them.

I think a water view might be nice if you are at the Poly, but I paid for water view at POFQ and I was not really happy to find that if I wanted to see the water I needed to go out onto the walkway to view it. It was the only thing that I was was not happy with regarding POFQ. I would stay there again but not worry about a view, brick wall would also be okay with me.

We stayed here last July and had a room on the ground floor that looked on to the Parking lot behind the bus stop.
It was really nice and very quiet, we where quite a bit away from the lot and with gardens and trees in abundance you would have not known there was lot there , and we heard no noise from it either.
Would definetly stay here again and do not think i would worry where my room was

Thanks for all the info. I will not request a waterview just want bldg4 and maybe courtyard. I do like to stand outside with my sweetheart in the evening at look at the beautiful grounds. She and I both appreciate the landscaping at this place.
