I wouldnt bother spending the extra money, we were very close to the pool and close to the bus as well as close to the boat to downtown disney and we had a nice courtyard view.

Isn't Oak Manor At Riverside not FQ? That is my favorite place at Riverside, but we havent stayed at FQ.(yet)

This will be our 5th stay at POFQ. As you can tell we love this Resort. for closeness building 4 or 5 just ask to be closest to the food court and bus stop. I know it's only a request but I always ask and 9 times out of 10 they will try their best to help you out. However, any building is close to most everything at POFQ's that's why we Love it. We stayed at POFQ last year for the first time. It is so beautiful there! I am sure you will love it. The grounds are lovely, the room was nicely decorated and so clean, and the pool (while crowded), was so fun!

I don't think there is a building there that would make it a long walk to anywhere. The resort is quite compact for a mod. Still, ask to be in building 5 - we were in this one. It was right next to the check in building and just down a short street and around the corner from the pool. Very convenient resort.

Don't pay more for a preferred view. The mods have no balconies from which to enjoy the view. Keeping your window drapes open to see it will only allow you to see all the people walking by. Not worth extra $$.

Just back from POFQ. Had a standard view room. Requested building 4, first floor - received building 4 3rd floor but very close to the elevator which was lucky cause I had sprained my ankle the day before we checked in. It was not even 2 mins to the main building.

A pool view room would also be close to the main building but if you look at a map of the resort the other water view rooms would be a little farther away since the river is located at the back of the resort (but still not that far away).

BTW, the food court is great, the staff so friendly and the Jackson Square store is having a couple of sales (tshirts, buy one get one 50% off - same with games). It is a really impressive hotel.

The only request I would make is 3rd floor so you don't hear people above you. None of the buildings is very far away from anything. The view you have doesn't matter because you can't keep your curtains open as the walkways are right next to the windows.
