Hey Pete,

Will you be posting the POFQ review this this week? Not being pushy, just wondering. Would like to know if I should be refreshing iTunes tonight and tomorrow.

Thanks,
Kim

I was wondering this too. Very anxious to hear this review as I'm not a fan of either of the POR resorts and I'm very curious to know what Pete thought.

Okay, I am not crazy. I thought they said they reviewed this resort. I just changed my ressie for May from POP to Port Orleans. I want to know if I should change to French Quarter.

Yes, they did say they were reviewing POR-FQ. I guess we'll hear it next week. :)

I just wanted to chime in that before I bought into DVC POFQ was my favorite resort. I really love how small it is and the cast members, grounds, and service were always lovely. I haven't stayed there in a few years and am hoping things did not go downhill.

Me too, Nikki! We stayed at POFQ on our first WDW trip in 2005 and it will always hold a special place in my heart. After that trip, we knew we were hooked on WDW and decided to buy into DVC. I have a friend checking in there today and I'm so jealous......

Where do you own?

Was it POR or POFQ that used to be Dixie Landings? We stayed there in the mid-80s, before we stayed at the Poly and got hooked on the Deluxe resorts.

Yes POR is probably the most polarizing of the Disney properties... some love it, others loathe it. i'm ambivalent, but would really like to hear Pete's review...

he's been really busy the past months, so no pressure pete, keep up the good work.

i think the theming at POR is tremendous...almost too great, as the rooms stand in such sharp contrast, blecch. As an LBV golfer, its a great location...if the rooms were spruced up, i'd gladly pay more to stay there with my ladies. .princess:

It may not be this week - it may be next week. Things are more hectic with a 2 year old in the house than I anticipated (not complaining, she's an absolute doll). Taking her to her first theme park today - let the indoctrination begin!

I believe POR used to be Dixie Landings and POFQ used to be known as PO.

Personally, we love POFQ! The small size and charming theme have us sold!

If you think having one 2 year old in thee house is hectic, come to my house and see what it is like on any given day. Right now I am looking at 2 4yr olds, one 21/2 year old one 2 year old, a 1year old, a 7month old and an a 8month old. All I can say is life is never dull. Yes I run a daycare and have for 38 years. I am now watching the 2nd generation. I did daycare for most of these kids parents.

I own at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jambo House and absolutely love it! I am so spoiled by this resort and its cast members that I rarely stay anywhere else! :thumbsup2

I believe POR was Dixie Landings in the 80s. :)
