POFQ or ?

We're heading back for 3 days 4 nights over President's Day weekend. Doing a day each of Epcot, MK & DHS. I want to stay at AK, DH wants to stay at POFQ since it'll be over Mardi Gras. Help us decide! Since it's a quick trip, transportation is #1 for us. He also tossed in the idea of Boardwalk or BC. I know, we're all over the board.

We stayed at Poly and WL last time, so we want something new! Thanks for any advice you might have!

Have u checked availability? I read where many resorts are sold out that weekend. We stayed at AKL in September and fell in love with it. Can't comment on POFQ; we've visited but not stayed as theme does not appeal to us.

The Beach Club is my favorite WDW resort, and it's also the best location-wise IMO because it's so close to both Epcot and HS. I am also a big fan of POFQ. I think it would be especially fun to stay there during Mardi Gras. AKL is amazing, but is farther away from most of the parks than the other two. I would go with either the Beach Club or POFQ, and stay at AKL on a longer trip.

Agree with PP - you may not have your choice, so you should check availability. That's a peak week due to school's being out so many people have been booked for a while. It also means peak pricing, so you may be better off at a mod so you're not paying full rates at a deluxe.

When I posted this they still had availability but they're now booked. I'm pretty sure we're going to go with BC or BWI! I need to book tomorrow.

I'm not so sure about this

There are tons of extra buses on during busy times like Pres. Week (I'm not sure how much they can increase other types of transportation) so if you really want AKL and you're prepared to deal with the bus-only transportation then I wouldn't rule it out.

We have stayed at AKL it is really nice but it takes a while to get to the parks. If you are not planning on visiting AKP then I would stay closer for a shorter trip. Have a great time with what ever you choose!
