We are planning our Dec. trip and currently have ressies at POFQ, but we are somewhat torn. Youngest DD has epilepsy and has had seizures in her sleep in the past, not recently but still the trundle bed in POR would be ideal for her for sleeping. But on the other hand, we like the small resort atmostphere in POFQ better. We are so confused as to where we should stay. Oh, another consideration for us will be that Pop Warner will be there at the same time. We aren't too worried about the amount of people or them using the food court and pool, we are a little worried about the noise and late hours that they may be using amenities at the resort. Sleep is very important to maintaining no seizures for DD.

I don't know that they could guarantee a trundle bed room at POR. Could you bring a blow up matress for her? Or use a bed rail? I think you would find it quieter at POFQ.

We stayed in building 35 at POR and it was pretty darn quiet. There was also a small extra bed underneath of the queen size beds. I guess I just assumed that all AB rooms kept the bed in the room. But maybe not since someone else thinks it might be hard to get the bed.

This is a hard choice! Personally, we liked POFQ a lot. I thought the theming was beautiful, and we were there for busy Thanksgiving week and I remember it being quiet enough.

I would go for FQ. Enjoy your stay!:goodvibes

Can't help you on the sleeping situation. I would definitely call the hotel directly and talk to someone about your considerations and I'm sure they could get you a quiet room at the POFQ or whatever bedding you needed at POR.

The POR is huuuuuuge. POFQ is much more quaint and you can't beat being picked up first on the buses. The masses getting on the buses at POR looked frustrating and they were the ones that often times had to stand.

We've stayed at POFQ and enjoyed it pretty well. We liked it better at POR. At POR, we stayed in Parterre Place and it was pretty close to everything and we got to see the boats going up and down the river. We only had to share a bus one time, but thought we would have to share it soon with the deer that were all over the side of roads grazing (They are not intimidated at all by the buses!). Both are really relaxing, but I think the grounds at POR make it even more relaxing. We also never heard outside noise in either place. It was really quiet in the rooms. Yes, they have turbo toilets so just almost close the bathroom door and pull the curtain closed and you won't hear those either.

Either place will be a great place to stay, but if you need a trundle bed, I would certainly go for POR.

If you do not get a bed with a trundle ask for bed rails. Disney does offer those for free! That is what we are going to do if we do not get a trundle bed. I personally love POR and will be there next week. But you may prefer POFQ. I will tell you I never heard anybody at POR so sleeping was not a issue if that helps at all.
