OK, DH and I have a dilemma. We can not decide whether we should do Port Orleans French Quarters for 5 nights 6 days or Pop Century for 6 night 7 days. We will have park tickets for all the days and DDP. We think our daughters ages 12 and 9 will like both resorts.

This will be our 2nd trip. On our first trip we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge which was extremely awesome. Although we are not picky, we don't want to be underwhelmed either. Because of our financial situation, we are looking at POFQ 5 nights 6 days or Pop Century for 6 nights 7 days. Obviously, if we stay at Pop we get an extra day. Do you think it is worth staying at Pop to get that extra day or staying at POFQ for one less day? Looking for any advice or opinions to help us make this decision.

I have stayed at both and would go for the extra day at the Pop....both resorts are very nice but I say the food courts and gift shops are the same, love the theming for POP I think the kids would like it more too

DD says - POP with the extra day.

I say POFQ but I do get the extra day part & probably would go to POP too!!

It was clean and comfortable although, after WL, the room will be SMALL and no fridge or coffeemaker. But an extra day is an extra day. If you can live with the room, POP is fine.

Our family loves POP. We couldn't get POP for our July trip so we are staying for the first time at POFQ. We have stayed at POP, POR, CBR, ASMu, and ASMo, and our favorite place remains POP. It is the most whimsical of them all, followed closely by ASMo. IMHO. We have friends who stay at the pricier resorts for three night/four day stays for what we can stay at POP for nine nights/ten days. Now, if I had all the money in the world to burn... would I stay at the Poly or Contemporary? Pfffffft! :rotfl2: Are you kidding? Of course. But I don't have a money tree blooming in my back yard. LOL My vote would be extra day at POP. One day when I hit the lottery, I will book that two week stay at the Poly... one sweet day! LOL I hope you have a GREAT vacation!

Us too! The kids love Pop!!

I prefer POP over POFQ. Not much of a difference other than the hot tub and slide.

Don't forget the fridge and coffee maker. Also, night time entertainment. And a huge plus, it's own bus stop at MK in the evening. I'd say go with POFQ, but then I didn't like Pop. It was too noisy for me. POFQ is very quiet and relaxing. It's more than just a place to rest your head.

We have stayed twice at both resorts, and we definitely prefer POFQ over POP.
Fridge, coffee maker, theming, size of resort, boat to DTD, are all reasons why we're returning to POFQ in August.

Thanks everyone! We chose POP for the kids and the extra night. I am sure we won't be disappointed. Now to tell our girls and to choose our ADRs. :thumbsup2
