Hi All
Heading down for a quick 2 day trip just to catch illuminations one last time. We are doing MNSSHP our first night however the day we go to see illuminations we are going to just hang at the resort until evening. Which do you think is the best place to hang at? Just me and DW no kids! Tia

After reading that post above yours, I would pick CBR. They have just refurbished the rooms, so it should be cleaner and more updated with less wear and tear.

Pofq is a lovely resort, inside and outside bar, beautiful trails to walk, boat to Disney springs( lovely just for the ride) horse n carriage ride.
Smaller footprint. I think you’d enjoy it.

I think the key is spending time at the resort. I feel there is more to do for a couple without children at Port Orleans French Quarter than Caribbean Beach Resort. Whatever you decide, you can't go wrong. I mean they both have a hot tub.

No kids? POFQ in a heartbeat. CBR is a huge resort. Would only consider it again because of the pool, but that would just be for kids. Take the quiet, small-sized ambiance of POFQ for your kid-less short trip.

Because of the close proximity to disney springs, i'd go with POFQ.

If you arent interested in going to disney springs though, i'd go with CBR. Refurbished rooms.

Most of the rooms @ CBR were refurbished in 2016 although the rest of the resort was just newly refinished. POFQ's rooms were just refurbished and now they are working on Riverside. POFQ would be my choice, you can take a walk along the river or take a boat ride to DS....small and quiet

POFQ! Quaint. Beautifully appointed. Easy to navigate. Comfortable. Great CMs.

We just boiled our stay down to these same two resorts, a 4 night adults trip, and decided on POFQ.

POFQ hands down. This is the smallest resort at Disney so nothing is too far to walk. We love walking down the path along the river. They have a nice pool bar and a nice bar inside with live music (weekends I believe) at night. We haven't stayed at CBR, but for a quick trip like that I wouldn't chance it and go with what we know. :) Oh, and all rooms at POFQ have been refurbished! Lovely and clean!

I don’t have an opinion , just advice to definitely visit the newest Destino Towers at Coronado Springs. With the new opening of the resort ( gorgeous to walk around at night ).... the resort Tower theme from outside glows at night with alternating colors. Also they have built 3 Bridges across waterfront with benches to relax and the new 3 Bridges Bar & Grill with outdoor seating meets in the center of the lake. I haven’t eaten there yet but have walked around and love this newest addition for places to definitely checkout, especially excited for holidays too.
Hope you post trip report. Have fun!

I think you will have a lovely trip! I was skeptical about POFQ until I stayed there on my trip earlier this summer. It really does have a nice, low key atmosphere and the renovated rooms were quite nice.
