I will be traveling to Wdw in January for a long weekend with my teenage daughter. It is mostly to take part in the Rundisney events that weekend so not much park time. We will spend a day at MK.
I am choosing between French Quarter and Caribbean Beach.
We have stayed at POR and I like to try new resorts each time. CSR doesn’t interest me.

I like that FQ looks small which might be nice after running in the races. The boat to DS is a plus.
However the gondolas look pretty cool and we could take them to Pop/AOA which have my favorite food courts or international gateway for a good celebration dinner at Yachtsman.

I don't have any input for you but I'm going to follow this thread - we have the same debate going for our April 2020 trip!

I will say this, though...we stayed at POFQ this past April and I did the Star Wars 10k. The size of the resort really was helpful. You're super close to everything so catching a bus at 3:30 a.m. meant leaving the room at 3:20/3:25 instead if 3:00. It was my first 10k and I was hurting after I finished, so it was a great blessing to not have to walk far to our room.

For the 2020 Star Wars race, we're debating CBR vs POFQ, too. For the same reasons - resort size vs Skyliner (and staying somewhere new, which is usually fun). So I'll be stalking - er, watching - this thread with interest to hear people's opinions!

POFQ hands down. CBR is way too spread out for me, we didn't care for it at all when we stayed there. POFQ is a great location for the races as well, my husband said it was quick and convenient to the events. No contest at all from my family's point of view.

I’m not a fan of the moderates save for POFQ. It’s not spread out like the others. Newly renovated.

Thank so for the feedback everyone. DD wants CBR but I’m leaning towards FQ.
We are a family of 5 usually and won’t normally fit at FQ so it might be good to stay there while it’s just the two of us.
I’m sure I’ll go back and forth until booking June 18.

POFQ. Smaller in size, everything close, one bus stop. Not sure which area you are thinking about at CB, but I believe there are additional bus stops. (Not sure, but would you need to ride internal bus to get to Skyliner?)

POFR is very nice and does have the benefit of DS seeing you will not be doing much park time. If you were planning on park time at Epcot or HS then i would do CBR and you would get to experience the gondolas, but considering your situation go for POFQ then you will have easy access to a ton of restaurants at DS
