We are taking a short trip in Jan. just my DH and I. We are looking between POFQ adn CBR. Which one is closer to things and is more adult. I am preg. and get pretty tired and will need to relax and go back to the room often. Any ideas?

I would recommend FQ - it is a beautiful resort, and it's quite small so everything is near each other. I have staye at both, and while we enjoyed CBR, we absolutely LOVED FQ.

For a trip for 2 adults, I would also recommend POFQ--all parts of the resort are close to the main building. There is only one bus stop. POFQ might share a bus with POR, but POFQ gets picked up and dropped off first.

I would strongly recommend the French Quarter and request building #5. This resort is very compact, so it's a quick walk to everything. Also, building #5 is right next to the pool, foodcourt & a quick walk to the bus stop.

Stayed at CBR for the first (and last) time last year for 2 nights and was extremely disappointed. This resort is way too spread out for my taste.

I love CBR but I would chose POFQ this trip if I were you. CBR is very spread out. I'm also wierd about wanting theming to match the weather! I don't think I could stay at Poly or CBR in January. :flower1:

For those of you that say POFQ if small and everything is an easy walk from anywhere have you ever stayed in building 7??????

We were there this past weekend and while I had the most fantastic birthday ever (thank you mom) we were in bld 7 3rd floor and way away from the elevator.

This building is definitley not a couple minutes away from anything except perhaps the bus stop if you really hoof it. Thank goodness we had a rental car and used it to park near the bus location because walking back in the dark that far with aching feet late up two flights of stairs at night is no fun.

On the other side was the resort itself. The pool was fantastic and my DS loved the slide, though I wish the hot tub was insight of the pool instead off by itself. The room furnishing were very nice and we had the best mousekeeper leaving many types of towel animals. If we ever stayed at POFQ we would definitely make sure to get a closer building or move or ressies elsewhere.

Huh, I didn't feel that way at all when I stayed in building 7. I liked that it was a bit removed from the center of the action, and I could walk from my room down to building 1 in about 5 minutes. I also liked the fact that building 7 was closest to PO Riverside because I liked to walk up to that food court. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I think POFQ is the one resort where you really can't get a bad location.

We've stayed at both and POFQ is wonderful. It is compact and does have an adult feel to it!

I haven't stayed at either but would like to sometime. Both seem like great resorts.

But from what I have read on these boards (and the WDW Resort Maps), CBR is definately the most spread out. Not the place I would want to be if I were pregnant and didn't want to walk a lot.

Maybe you could try CBR next time. :flower1:

Well everyone certainly has different views. We never did walk to POR because when asked the front desk I was told that I'd have to go out by th boat docks and walk from there, she definitely did not recommend it from our location.

I think if we'd had any bld but #7 we'd have felt differently. We liked everything about the resort except for the location of our room. The time before we stayed at WL and nothing there was as far as it is at POFQ. I have heard the other moderates/values our worse than POFQ though. We were definitley glad that we had the rental car.
