POFQ - Mardi Gras

Hi All,

We are staying at POFQ from Feb 6th - 12th.
With the actual Mardi Gras taking place in New Orleans, does POFQ do anything special on Fat Tuesday, Feb 8th?

I don't know the answer to your question, but figured I'd bump it up. Has anyone been at the POFQ during Mardi Gras?

We were at POFQ during Mardi Gras 2003 (we were there March 1-8, Fat Tuesday was March 4th) Anyway, at POFQ they did a parade through the "streets" with some characters, and anyone (mostly kids) joined right in the parade. They had bead necklaces and colored coins that they were giving out to everyone, and they were throwing confetti. It was quite cute! I don't have any pictures of it, we were caught off guard by it, watched it pass by as we were on our way somewhere. We still have the necklaces and coins from it though. They also had some craft activities inside the lobby area, I know they were making masks, not sure if there was anything else. I don't know if they did all this in 2004 as well, I hope someone else can answer that! It'd be fun if they did it this year though, my boys would enjoy it.
