POFQ Future

All of the pictures and comments have been positive reinforcement that POFQ might be the place to stay again. But what is in store for the future?

We had stayed there 8 times since it opened with our last stay in Dec. 2002 (with 3 stays to the WL since). We did not have a good impression of the resort when we left in Dec 2002. Not because of the way it looked, it was acceptable. But rather because of the way things changed.

Most of the cast members didn't go out of their way to make anything "Disneylike". We have had "magical" trips. We have met quality people that worked there. This trip lacked that.

The resort was one of the ones used for children's Pop Warner Football teams. It was very loud outside the rooms well into midnight. When we asked for assistance from the front desk to quiet things down outside, we were told that the resort would house large groups that didn't need convention facilities. It was also recommended that we might want to choose another resort for our future trips so we chose WL.

We liked POFQ because of its quiet, quaint, and small-feeling qualities. What we experienced then was the opposite. What is it going to be now?

I also stayed at the POFQ in December of 2002, and I had an amazing stay! We were there during the Pop Warner things, and there was a night or two when the kids were up late in the evening, but it wasn't too bad. We only heard them once or twice.

I found the staff to be amazingly helpful throughout our stay. The staff in the food court were particularly helpful, friendly, and outgoing. I have always felt that the staff at the POFQ is the best of any Disney resort I've ever stayed at.

I stayed there again a few weeks ago, and had another magical stay. Everyone was super helpful, and found the resort to be quite peaceful and quiet. I had a very relaxing stay.

We also stayed at PO-FQ in Dec 2002 during Pop Warner. We had one really loud night and had apologies from the front desk staff. Also our phone kept ringing with lots of hang up calls and we requested it be turned off so no more prank calls would bother us. I was told they would investigate who was making the calls and stop them. Nevertheless we had a great stay. Lots of towel animals and wonderful interaction with 100% of the staff with whom we spoke.

We're going back during part of our trip (leave in 10 days!) and can't wait.

I've heard that the overflow youth groups from the All Stars will go to Pop Century now so I'm hoping dear PO-FQ will be quiet once again.

I have another trip planned for October with my mom, sister and a dear friend or two. We're staying PO-FQ again!
