POFQ - Foodcourt as Take Out?

We're staying at POFQ later this year. Am I able to get foodcourt meals, mainly breakfast, as take out? As an early riser the plan would be for me to pop over to the food court, grab something for DH and DD, and return to the room to eat. Assuming yes, would the meals be in containers or on a paper plate?

My family got food several nights from there and always took it as takeout, everything was in containers and they also had large brown paper bags to carry everything in. The food was very good! Never had breakfast there, just dinner.

Most (if not all) the resort CS have brown paper bags for you to be able to take the food to your room. I've often gotten a late night snack/meal from the CR (those cupcakes!!) if the lines for the buses were long. Usually by the time I've gotten back to the MK, the bus lines are much shorter and I don't have to stop at the FC on the way back to my room.

You can also get cereal and milk the night before and put the milk in the fridge for the night. I always get up earlier than DD16 and go over to the food court for my breakfast and eat out in a courtyard area (weather permitting). DD16 eats her cereal and milk when she gets up, calls me and then we're ready to head out for the day.

For hot breakfasts, the food is put on paper plates and then covered with a plastic shell. You can take a tray back to your room if it's easier to manage.

How early of a riser are you? They won't start serving hot food until I think 7am.

I had the same experience as Sandi with the paper plate covered with a plastic shell. We also bring trays back to our room to make it easier to carry everything.

I did the same as the above poster last spring at POFQ....take my tray back to the room with all the food with plastic covers. Then I drop my tray back off on my way to the buses.
