I have a 9, 14 and 17 old boys. I personally would like to be close to the bus stop. Obviously food is important with teenagers. The pool is also very important. We booked 2 rooms for the 5 of us. Which building would you recommend?

This is our first trip to WDW, I need help! I had originally did PS at Chef Mickeys but think I'll change that to Whispering Canyon for lunch. My boys are funny and good natured. I think they would really have a good time at WC. They also don't know anything about the WC which is nice for me to surprise them. Sounds like an awesome way to kick off our trip. We arrive on July 7th and I can't wait.

I may be missing it but I don't see a reference to a resort. What resort are you staying in?

I would recommend going to Coronado Springs. Stayed at POFQ last weekend for a change and the service stunk!!!

We just got back last weekend from eight nights. We were in building one on the far side from the center of the resort. It took me three minutes to walk to the food court. I timed it. Some friends of ours were in building four. It was literally thirty seconds to the food court. Pool times are essentially the same since the food court and pool are adjacent. The only building that I wouldn't want was number seven. Best are two and four then three and five. One was still great and I wouldn't hassle the cast member at check-in if that's what I was assigned. The resort is very compact and easily navigable. We've already decided to stay there again next year.

Aquagirl: what aspect of the service stunk? We found busses and the food court to be good or better. Maid service was adequate.

Stayed in Buiding 4 in April . Was very Convenient to everything (Pool , Food Court , Parking Lot etc.).
In reference to Coronado Springs - Just my Opinion but French Quarter is much nicer.

Well, we don't find parking lot views a problem but we did have one this trip. One entire side of building one faces the parking lot. I know that part of building three does as well. I'm not really sure about the other side of thre resort (buildings four and seven).

Bldg. 2 is a great choice too. Although at POFQ, my favorite Disney resort, it's hard to go wrong with any building. Everything there is very convenient.

Hi,
We came back from POFQ last week. We had a fab time. Stoped in building 5, either pool or courtyard view, close to pool, foodcourt and bus stops. Building 7 is probably the furthest away although all buildings are quite close to the main part.

Hi!
Actually just walked in the door from 3 nights at POFQ.
Just me and the hubby.
Although I really like POFQ (pretty peaceful and quiet by our room - 6337 - water view) he said it was too slow paced for him - not much to do. A smaller more intimate moderate.

If it was me and it was available, I would try for it's sister resort CBR - stayed there a year ago with hubby, son (22) daughter (25) - they all loved it. Good foodcourt, great feature pool and for me the quiet pools ! - CBR just seemed more - "alive" then POFQ.

As far as POFQ, everything is close - small food court and last stop on the bus loop (they go to Riverside first - we had to stand on almost all our trips - but who cares we were at Disney)

The temp when you factored in the heat index was 103 on Sat.
Lots of water to drink and of course the daily trip to Marketplace for Ghiardelli's banana split!!!

What ever you decide have great time - we always do.
Have to wait till Sept fo the actual vacation - 8 days -3 nights at WL and 4 nights at YC!!!

Say hello to Tinkerbelle for me!!!

Bldg 2 is my choice. We stayed there for 11 nights in the begining of June. We were in 2121. We had a smoking area. Not all of the bldg is smoking...the part that runs along the waterway is... not sure if the water view rooms are, we were on the garden view side. That entire side of the section was smoking....The part of the bldg that runs up along the pool is non-smoking. Don't be concerned if you want a non-smoking room...they aren't connected to where you would smell the smoke.... Bldg 2 is close to the pool, food court, boat dock & a pretty short walk to the bus.

Unless there has been a MAJOR change on the bus system since May, POFQ is the FIRST stop on the Port Orleans route.

We stayed at POFQ building 2 (room 2142) for 8 nights. I loved this resort! Our room was perfect...the pool entrance (by kiddie pool) was directly across from our room. Just a short walk to food court, check in, gift shop and bus stops. It was a little walk to the parking lot. Everything is so close at this resort and the best part is you can use the pool at Riverside! Our kids liked the water "Mud slide" at Riverside much better than FQ. The slide at FQ seemed more for younger children.

I would love to stay in this resort in Nov.:o I think I want building 2, but I want RIVER VIEW. Can anyone tell me what room #'s in building 2 are River View? Thanks.
