I did a search and found no bad reviews about POFQ.

The grounds of POFQ look lovely to walk about.

The boat ride to DTD may be a fun off-beat activity to do.

1st bus stop before POR is a plus.

:goodvibes 2 sinks are great.

Looks like we can fit an areo-bed in the room for our teen DS or tween DD (they will not sleep in the same bed). Does POFQ give free cot use to families with teenage DS & DD ?

The POFQ pool looks OK - a Serpents tongue slide for teens? - But we can use POR pools and hey, we are in WDW to visit the Parks, not the pools :rotfl:

Food court looks good :woohoo: for a snack or quick bite.

Does anyone have a POFQ complaint.....or is everything just great ?

As much as I like how the POFQ looks and everything, I just think the food court for the POR is superior. :)

food court - service was s-l-o-w (breakfast better than other times of day)

actually, i don't recall noticing any teens at pofq on our trip. lots of adults and young kids. but i wasn't exactly looking for them, either. :)

The only negative we experienced at POFQ is I am a pretty healthy (as in health food) eater. I grew tired of their selections for lunch or dinner relatively quickly. We were trying to take afternoon breaks so we seemed to be there more for CS's in late afternoon, early evening. But if you don't mind burger and fries, chicken fingers and fries, stuff like that you're fine. I just don't really eat fried food! But that's just me. DH and DD had no trouble finding stuff they liked.

We stayed at POFQ in January 2007. We loved every bit of it. The bus being the first stop was great, first ones on and first off.

We liked the food court but only went to Boatwrights at POR so cant compare the two food courts.

We will definitely stay at POFQ again.:thumbsup2

Everything is just great!!! POFQ is one of my three favorite resorts. Love coming "home" there every night. The rooms are beautiful. Sometimes I miss the variety at the food court like there is at Pop, but I always found something I liked. And there are beignets!

We stayed at POR on our last trip, but liked the look of POFQ that we booked there for January. For a cooler weather trip, the boat to DTD is a must-have for us, so that we can hit DisneyQuest on the evenings that are too cool for swimming. The only downside I can think of from the afternoon we spent there is the food court, but if you don't like it, you can always walk over to POR to hit the very nice food court there.

We stayed at POFQ in 2006 with 3 teen boys (17, 17, and 13). They really liked the resort, but weren't impressed with the pool. We usually spend 3 days of our trip at the water parks, so it wasn't a huge deal to them.

I took the 13 y/o over to POR and used the main pool there one afternoon. He didn't think the slide was any better than POFQ and actually preferred the pool itself at POFQ.

All in all we had a wonderful time there. We had 2 connecting rooms so each of the boys had their own bed and the 2 fridges were a plus with teen boys!

The older ones loved the boat to DTD. We spent 11 nights there and they went to DTD 8 of those evenings.

We did eat at the food court several times and ordered pizza once. Everything we had was very good. We stuck to the burgers and hot dogs, because being used to real Louisiana food, we were afraid things like the jambalaya would fall short.

We didn't find the food court to be very slow at all, but we never ate there at peak times. It was usually during the day (when everyone else was at the parks) or late in the evening. We actually used our refillable mugs more here than at any other resort we've stayed at. We found the food court and gift shop (they also have snacks and drinks for sale) to be very convenient.

We stayed at POFQ in Nov of 07 and loved it. Honestly I can't think of anything bad. We were in building 7 and that is pretty much as far away as you can get, I have seen people say 1 is farther, and it wasn't far to the bus stop, pool, laundry or front desk/food court.

POR was huge and we only rode the bus through it!

One of my favs. Cant really think of anything negative. Even has entertainment at the lounge.

Building 5 is the closest building to the food court, pool bar, and laundry facilities.

Building 7 and Building 1 are the furthest away from the central area of the resort and neither of them are very far away.

Just got back from POFQ and this was our first time staying there. We have stayed at many other Disney resorts so I am basing my opinion on other resorts as well. We loved POFQ. The location is really great, meaning very centrally located to almost all parks. Only once did our busdriver pick up incorrectly and then had to circle back around POR. Bus service was really good. We really liked the food court and while we were there, the service and cleaniness was great. It is amazing what a smile or a good morning does for all people (including workers). The choices at the food court were great. Try the chicken quesadias (sp?-sorry)....instead of the black bean/corn side it comes with, ask for the chips...they were great...we also asked for a side of shred lettuce, sour cream and tomatoes (all are right there already chopped)...sour cream first and then we sprinkled the rest...they were wonderful...perfect for lunch, dinner and a great snack. Check in was a breeze...room was not ready at 6:30am (no surprise)...but they checked us in, gave us room key but did not tell us room number (no stalking here)..all we had to do was call for room number. Room size of this resort just gave us (family of 4 - 2 teens and mom and dad) a little extra elbow room than that of a Value. We got exactly what we requested...building 5 first floor. Only thing a little disappointing (and I knew this going in), the pool slide and theme was a little young for our DS 13 and DD12...but there again, did not spend much time there...but not sure if we would have spent more time there, if the kids really loved it??? Overall everything was great and housekeeping was good too! Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions.

We are going back to Disney March 15th-20th of 2008. I asked
my 10 yr. old and 14 yr. old where they wanted to stay this time?
Both of them want to stay at the POFQ. We stayed at AKL 2 years
ago. It was a very beautiful resort but way to spread out. My kids,
hubby and I all agreed we want to stay at POFQ. The resort is
absolutely wonderful!!! The bus transportation, the boat to DTD,
the pool, the CM's, the themeing and it is just the right size. You get picked
up first and dropped off first with the buses. Everything is just a hop,
skip and a jump away from your room. I highly recommend this resort! Can you tell I love this place???:rotfl:

Thank you for all the kind positive responses.

POFQ it will be.

The serpent tounge slide may not be liked by my teens - but as long as they can find space to do cannon balls into the pool (at 9:30 AM - before a late night at a Park), they will be fine. :rotfl:

We stayed at the Dolphin, with a wonderful rate, the last time we vacationed in WDW. The Dolphin has a large Grotto pool with a waterfall and a twisty slide through a rock. We stayed for 12 days at the Dolphin and only went into the pool twice :rotfl2:
So the pool factor, at least to us, DH & DW, is not a factor in deciding which resort to stay at.

We eat breakfast in our room - granola bars. We only eat at the resort for a quick lunch (if we pool in the AM) or a quick dinner (if we do an early AM entry at MK). We hope WDW keeps the late PM entry hours at the Parks.

So per the menu..................... DH would do Chicken Caesar Salad, DW would do Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Teen DS would do Double Cheeseburger and teen DD would do Chicken Strips. We could do a quick lunch or dinner for under $40:thumbsup2

Again, thank you:thanks: for all the kids words about POFQ:joker:

POFQ is a beatiful resort. My wife and I had a hard time deciding whether or not we wanted to stay there or back at POR. We ended up opting for POR because we have family staying there at the same time. POFQ has a smaller food court then POR because it is 1/2 the size. POFQ also does not have a sit down option to eat, even though there is Boatwrights just a short walk away, it is still a negative. One thing POR has over POFQ that may be important to you is that in AB section they have a trundle bed that just pulls out. As long as one of your kids is under 5 ft tall it would be fine. The rooms will be very tight with a air matress that is any bigger than a single. Even then it would be tight, you may have to move the tables around. I don't mean to be negative about this resort, it is very pretty and intimate, you just asked for the downside there. I wish we were staying there for the first part of our split stay in Jan, but with family staying at POR it is just easier for us. Enjoy the Beigets!!

:cloud9: We had nothing to complain about. We really enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to go back!:cloud9:

I've eaten at Boatwrights, won't make that mistake again. It wasn't that good. I've really only eaten at POFQ 3 times, and 2 of those times was for beignets only. I have so many favorite places to eat in the parks, it's hard enough to squeeze them all in. So it doesn't bother me that POFQ doesn't have a table service option. It's not a big enough con for me. Having 2 sinks far out weighs that, IMHO. Besides, Elliot Dyson is great. Don't miss him. Best of all, it has its own bus stop at MK in the evening. I can't find anything wrong with this resort.

I am partial to POFQ. It is my favorite moderate resort. I have stayed in all but CBR.

POFQ has awesome bus service, great CMs, Mousekeeping does a great job, everything is a close walk to everything else, the landscaping and courtyards are beautiful and the rooms are nice.
