POFQ and on-line check-in

I have seen a lot of threads about both good and bad experiences with on-line check-in. I have not seen any one mention good/bad experiences at POFQ (maybe i just missed those comments?). We will be arriving on a Friday in Oct around 12:30ish (hopefully!! *fingers crossed* Depends upon plane and ME). My goal is to get to MK ASAP. I want to do on-line check-in if it truly will be quicker. I don't have any room requests (I am not that picky!), so I will just pick up the packet and go! I should also mention that I don't care if my room is ready. I plan on getting my packet and heading straight to the bus for MK.

Anyone have any stories to share?

I've done online check in at POFQ ever since it became available. We always arrive mid to late morning and every time there has been a room ready for us, well, once we had to wait 10 minutes. It's nice to be able to put your carry on bags in your room and freshen up before hitting the parks.

We did online check-in on our last trip and it worked great. We arrived around 1pm and were able to have our room immediately. We also were upgraded to a riverview room, which was a nice treat.

Online check-in does not vary from resort to resort; it is effected by the day, time of day, and the season you are checking in.

I have found that check-in does differ from resort to resort. POFQ seems to always be congested in the lobby area, most likely due to the smaller lobby but I would say that online is the only way to go at this resort.

We used it the last 3 trips. Only had a short wait and 2 times the room was ready (we got there before 12:00 & the time it wasn't we got the call it was ready in less than an hour). Since you don't have any special request I say do it.

I used online check in this past June. When we arrived from Mag. Ex. there were just a few families on the bus. So the regular check in line and online check in line were basically non-existant. I pretty much just walked up. Our room was ready so we were very happy. I also did not put in any special room requests.

Hmmm . . . certainly not my experience last month. We were there 10 days and I passed through the lobby daily at different times each day. Not once did I see a line to check-in. We arrived on a Sunday at around 4:30 and the wait time was zero, there wasn't anybody in line. We didn't do on-line check-in and clearly there was no reason to.
