POFQ already booked for January.

I looked into upgrading to POFQ in the second week of January, but it was already booked. I thought this was value season. Should I be concerned that it will be busier than I thought?

Was it over the Marathon weekend? That is a busy weekend at WDW. It clears our by Monday or Tuesday though.

It is a small hotel which is very, very popular. Just because it is booked does not mean WDW will be more crowded.

Marathon Weekend starts the 2nd week of January...which is why we booked for the 3rd week. We're heading down the 15th-22nd and I just booked it last week.
