Hi Everyone!
So my fiance' and I are staying at the POFQ resort for our honeymoon in October, and we will be having some free time on two of the days when the parks close a bit earlier. Besides dinner reservations, we were wondering if there are any fun things for adults to do at the resorts after the parks close?

Thanks!

After the parks are closed I love going over to Disney Springs and checking out some stores then heading to a bar to relax and unwind from a busy day. A lot of them have live bands and entertainment too. Splitsville is also really fun. You can bowl and have a few drinks and their food is really good too. There is also La Nouba, the Cirque du soleil performance which is really cool and might be worth checking out if your interested in some sort of show. Another suggestion I would recommend is heading over to the boardwalk to walk around and there is some fun nightlife over there as well. Jellyrolls is a favorite for many people although I've never been myself. Have a good time and an early congratulations to you both!

Thank you so much!! That all sounds wonderful!

Go and see the piano player, Yeehaw Bob at the bar area at POR (no cover charge). He's really fun/funny and it's an interactive crowd experience for any age! He is very talented in general, but his show here is more crowd interactive and fun than musically technical.

Go to Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk and see those dueling piano players. This is a 21 and over bar and there is a cover (not sure how much these days - used to be $10 - $15 pp). This is a more adult crowd but really fun! And these piano players are no joke - they have some serious talent and can rock the house without any percussion.

I tend to look for live music whenever I can find it.

I stayed at POFQ last year and LOVED it! Definitely check out Scat Cat's Club if you enjoy live music with a chill atmosphere or take a carriage ride at dusk. I found that the most romantic options didn't cost anything at all - walking down the Sassagoula River from POFQ to POR is quite lovely and there are usually very few people around.

There are relaxing water shuttles that pick you up right from the dock at POFQ and take you to Disney Springs. The atmosphere along the way is beautiful and tranquil. If you stay later at Disney Springs, there are busses that can take you back.

Unfortunately I do not know if there is entertainment in the Scat Cat Club at POFQ anymore. Elliot Dyson used to perform there 4 nights a week. They got rid of him a few years ago and replaced him with someone I had heard was not that great (cant confirm we were never there when he performed). I thought I had received an email from him a while ago that he was leaving POFQ and I do not know if they replaced him. Go see Yeehaw Bob at POR. He is a lot of fun and while not romantic for your honeymoon - still a good night. The Boardwalk has JellyRolls - a dueling piano bar (there is a cover charge) and Atlantic Dance Hall (I am partial to ADH as that is where our Disney wedding reception was). They do weddings and private events there so they are not always open. There is also an ESPN Club at The Boardwalk for some sports watching - if you and you DH are into that. Trader Sams (a fun bar) has recently opened at The Poly - it is kind of out of the way so you really need to look for it - it is by their food court.

I know it is during the day but we love renting Mouse Boats and driving them around the lakes at Disney.

Check out the Dis Wedding Board - there is a lot of great information there - not only for planning a Disney Wedding but also a Disney Honeymoon.

There is also a horse and buggy ride available in the evening. I'm not sure if you pick it up at FQ or Riverside, however.

I agree with the idea to take the boat to Disney Springs. My hubby and I aren't drinkers so going to a bar isn't our idea of fun. We are kids at heart (isn't everyone who goes to Disney??) so we enjoyed just going to dinner and a movie at Disney Springs. We haven't checked out the bowling alley or Disney Quest yet but those would also be fun.

Was at POFQ for the evening entertainment recently on April 8. They had two guys singing country songs. They were pretty good.
