If we stay onsite in August it will be a moderate, most likely. POFQ sounds like a perfect sized resort for us.I'm worried about the room size. It will be Me, DH, 8yo 4 yo and 2 yo. I don't know if my youngest will sleep in a packnplay anymore. He has a toddler bed now. If he won't sleep in the pnp, are cots available? Also would the pnp fit next to the bed and wall? We'll have our car with us so I could store our emoty luggage in there to free up room space. Would a stroller fit in the room too?

Thanks.

What about Port Orleans Riverside? They have rooms with trundle beds that would work for your toddler.

Thanks for the quick reply. POR sounds nice but is too spread out for us. POFQ seems nice and manageable.

You won't be able to get a cot at PO. You can either bring an inflatable matress for one of your kids or just a sleeping bag. Or ... you can stay at POFQ and have a bed for everyone.

I think you mean POR (with a trundle bed) instead of POFQ.

I August we stayed at POR in the AB section. Our room had a trundle bed which meant that everyone had a bed. We had 5 too, and it wasn't too bad. DD 22mo slept in a pack n play then but probably wouldn't at this point. To help ease up on space (sincve we didn't have a car to store luggage in) we emptied our cklothes into the dresser or into hanging sho'clothes racks which I purchased at the dollar store. This helped as I then stacked the suitcases in the closet/bathroom common area. Our big stroller did fit as did the pack n play.

As far as the sleeping arraingment for you toddler you might want to consider this as it is portable and is rather lareg in size.

DD who is very tall for her age really likes it. We've taken it on vacation numerous times without any problems.

Anything can work out, if you are flexible. I do think that POR with the trundle bed would work the best for you. You can just remove the mattress and place it where you want. Now any of the children will want to sleep on it. Look at the map. It was a walk to the food court but if you request next to the quiet pool, the bus stop is also not that far away. Also, we always bring my MacClaren Double Folding Stroller.

Sometimes we slid the bed over to the wall. (This can't be done at all resorts) Mousekeepping never bothered me and I did put it back when we checked out. It gave the little ones a boundary and I asked for a bedrail for the other side of the bed. The space in between the beds was wider and it did give us more space. I always left the stroller near the door, but you can fold it up if you need.

You drive as well, so if you have your heart set on POFQ, just bring one of those air mattress,(we have the one with Cinderella and the "Sleeping bag" attached.) It packs small and I think that you can slide it under the bed during the day to get it out of the way.

I speak from experience, there are 6 in our family now.

First off we love POFQ!!! It is so managable, which is great esspecially after a long day of walking. Something that we've been doing is Bringing a sleeping bag for our oldest. He sleeps on the floor and thinks its a blast!! If you did that then you could have the younger kids in a bed.

We had 3 adults (me, DW, DMIL, DD3) at POFQ and the little one rolls too much to share a bed with. We have a small cot (2' x 3.5' x 6" tall) that she sleeps in when we travel. There was space in the rooms to set this up between the bed and the door to the outside world. We liked POFQ a lot because of the small size and the fantastic pool. The POR rooms are the same size, so even though they'll provide a trundle bed, you won't actually have more room than if you bring your own bed to POFQ. We also had room in the room for a stroller for her, and we usually did not bother to fold it up. Of course, it seemed like we were only really in the room when we were sleeping / napping / or getting ready to leave.

Hope that helps!

I love POFQ as well. the pool and play area is superior to POR's in my opinion. I would make up a "bed area" in the corner with the bedspreads.

As a family of five, I say stay at POFQ while you can. That’s where we stayed our first trip and we absolutely loved it. Now that youngest DS is older, we can't stay there anymore. :sad1: Yes, it was a little crowded, but very manageable. We had lots o’ luggage, the crib, the stroller, and still had enough room to lay out each kids’ clothes every night. I’d love to stay there again – we loved the small size, too – but we’re limited to PO with the trundle bed. I guess when he’s too big for the trundle, we’ll have to wait for his sister to move out!

Check out DVC while you're down there. We've been happy with our decision & it solved a lot of the "five in a room" issues. I also don't have to take as much luggage because all of the bedroom suites have a washer & dryer.

If your two-year-old won't sleep in the pack-n-play (what is it with third kids growing up so fast?), this might be an alternative:
