Do you like writing it? What inspires you? What type of mood do your poems usually have? Do you usually write with structure or free verse?
I like writing poetry, but unless I have inspiration it's usually horrible. The words usually just pop into my head, but most of the time I write when I'm upset about something. I hate using structure as it just doesn't fit the words of my poems most of the time, so I just free verse. They're usually pretty sad, because, as I said, inspiration usually comes to me when I'm upset. Here's one I wrote a few days ago when I was just in one of those crying-for-no-reason-and-I-can't-stop kind of moods.
My skies are gray.
The sun doesn't seem to notice.
It peeks through the clouds one day.
I fill with hope.
But then it fades back to black.
So what does everyone think of poetry?
