Podcastcruise transportation: sharing a Van.

Registration open untill Febr. 20

We are looking for transportation to and from the ports.
Now i'm wondering if there are people that would like to share a van.

This is what i had in mind.
Transfer from the Dolphin to the Port leaving the Dolphing somewhere around 10.30am.
Pick up at the Port around 08.30-09.00am and then drop off at the Dolphin.
Nothing is settled yet, times can change if necessary.

What i would like to know if there is some intrest in doing this.
If you are intrested please respond with your name and # of people and if there are kids included their age.


Total people: 10
10 adults and 0 Kids

Emiel & Yvette 2 adults (3 or 4 large suitcases)
klam_chowder 2 adults (1 large + 1 small suitcases)
Lois & Greg 2 adults (2 large suitcases)
Brandie & Matthew 2 adults (2 medium + 2 small suitcases)
Minniegraden & Mike 2 adults (2 large + 1 small suitcases)

Total suitcases: 8 or 9 large + 2 medium + 4 small.
I didn't put in the # of carry ons because that's not realy important for the space we need for bagage.
 
We are possibly interested. We are staying at the Dolphin pre-cruise and the Boardwalk post-cruise. I'm not sure if they are working on transportation for us or not. There was something mentioned. But, we would definitely be interested if they aren't. We are 2 adults and 2 children.

If you mean by They the podcast then they ar'nt -> for what i understood.

I just put you on the list, this is for now just a list with possible interested people.
When the list is long enough that it really make sense to rent a Van for sharing then i'm going to PM everybody on the list to check if you are official interested and then we are making final arrangements.
 

Yvet, thx a mint for offering to organize this. There are so many cruisers going from the same Point A to Point B it just makes green sense. DH & I would be interested depending on the cost. :goodvibes

Hey there!

We're looking at sharing a vehicle as well...I was perusing the FL Tours website and noticed that they have a larger vehicle for 22-35 people. I think they called it the Orlando Airport Shuttle. Anyway...does anyone know if that's something that we could reserve if there were enough of us and what the cost might be?

I put you on the list for just the 2 of you and let me know if it turns out to be 4.

I have looked into a whole bunch of limo/van/bus rental company's.
There are a few that are my favorite and the prices are very reasonable.
So far i could figure out that the price could be under $50 per person for the round trip.

I don't know yet about FL Tours renting out their airport shuttle van/bus for trips from Disney to the Port.
When i have a more final headcount then i'm going to ask all the company's for the rates (in total included everything so i can compare everything).

As of right now, put us down as 2...i'm just not sure about the brother and sis-in-law. I don't think that they will be going, but my mom won't cancel their reservation until she has to...we're kind of in limbo until we know she's safely out of her first trimester. Which is making me nuts. :joker:
 
We never travel without a rental car, but since we'll only be there one day before the cruise and 2 days after, we may decide not to get one this time.

If we do, we can rent a minivan and can take a few of you guys with us to the port. There are 3 of us, 2 adults and 1 child.

We will have 7 of us in a minivan in March. I'll check out how much luggage room there is. If there is enough luggage room, we could take as many as 4 with us from Dolphin to port and back again. We'll be at the beach club villas after the cruise, but we can always drop off at the Dolphin.

Another Bump...

There are still some people that don't know about this.
 
The only transportation that we need to figure out still is from port and back again. Hope this works to share.
 
I keep this open untill somewhere half february.

After that point i will send pm's to everybody and then i'm going to make some things final.

I want to have this organized and arranged before the first of April so when it doesn't work out or if something happens then there will be enough time to arrange something else.
