I really didn't notice any difference this week. Certainly not any differences that would lead me to conclude who likes whom, who hates whom, and who wants to punch whom in the face. To the extent that people picked up on tension in the SW segment, it wasn't the first time. There are some very firmly held beliefs around that table and debates ensue. How could that not be the case? Given the subject matter of the documentary and the way it was produced, edited and presented, it is hard to imagine people not getting hot under the collar over the subject. The entire mess breeds negativity, whether in the feelings toward the documentary itself, or in the feelings toward the subject matter of large mammals bred and held in captivity. There are no "feel good" moments either way. But I certainly did not get the sense that anyone's views were being cut off, dismissed or disrespected. But what do I know. I haven't spent the last year of my life going back to listen to the entire library of podcast episodes.
