Hey All,

I was just curious as to what disney related podcasts you listen to??

I listen to three DisUnplugged, Mousetunes, and WDW Today.

I would rank them
1. DisUnplugged, best production very professional sound to it, good format and good preparation, it seems that the hosts actually prepare and do work before recording the podcast. For a weekly show I wish it were a little longer than the usual 40 minutes, and at times it can sound like a commercial for Dreams Unlimited, but hey I guess its their show so they can do it. Overall my favorite.

2. WDW Today - production quality is much lower here, the mikes come in and out a little, but the show is still very good. They usually have anywhere from 2-3 shorter shows a week which focus on usually one specific topic. They have some good connections as they have had the mods on from Allearsnet, Mousesavers, and other Dis Related websites. The host Matt, can at times try to be a little to much of a comedian and derail the show a little but still a good listen.

3. Mousetunes - Good weekly show. It has the feel of two people in their basement recording a podcast, but still has some good features. They have some good segments which other shows do not, including a rumor mill segment which I do enjoy. Their show is longer usually clocking in at over an hour, but sometimes alot of that is dead air or off-topic tangents.

Tell me what you think or what other podcasts are out there that are worth listening to. I have never seen this discussed and wanted to hear other Dissers thoughts

Agree DISuplugged is first on my list.
I've been enjoying MousePod who reviews a classic Disney film each week.
Bring Back the Magic is a good video podcast of Disneyland.

I really enjoy WDW Today. It's the only Disney podcast I listen to(so far). That is partly because I also listen to two Harry Potter podcasts(Mugglecast and Pottercast) that can each be anywhere from 45-90 minutes long. Plus I am trying to catch up on the older WDW Today episodes. My hubby listens to WDW Today, Mousetunes, and the DIS podcasts.

I've never tried a podcast :sad2: Can you tell me a little more about what they talk about and how to find them and is there a cost... thanks!!

Podcasts... lets see... think of it as an on-demand radio talkshow via the Internet. You can download them via ITunes from Apple (free download from the Apple website for both Macs and Windows machines) or often directly from the podcast site's web page.

There are podcasts on virtually every subject you can possibly imagine. Obviously, being on Disboards, you'd probably be interested (among others) in ones that discuss Disney. There are all sorts of podcasts (podcasts that sound like commercials for Disney, podcasts that are put on BY Disney that are definitely mini-commercials/infomercials about Disney, podcasts that talk about Disney movies, Disney Parks, etc). As my wife (WeirdTigger27) said above, I listen to the ones called WDW Today, The Dis's own podcast, and the MouseTunes podcast.

There are also video podcasts. They display on your computer screen or on your iPod that have all sorts of themes too. Disney's own video podcast had information about Expedition Everest when it was being built & also when it was first opened up.

99% of all podcasts that I've ever heard of are free. You just need to take the time to download them & to have the right software (usually also free) to play them.

Any questions, ask away!

Enjoy the audio & video Magic!

MrMagic did a very good job with a brief description. If you have an Ipod and Itunes you pretty much have all you need. You can go to Music Store and click on podcasts. Then click on power search and type in disney into the description tab and you will see a bunch of different podcasts come up. Click subscribe onto one of the ones you like and boom it downloads the podcast to your Itunes from where you can put whatever episodes you choose in your library, and then into you Ipod.

I have never paid for a podcast. For someone that spends about 2 hrs a day commuting, podcasts are great!!

If I left any steps out please fill them in for me!

I listened to Mousepod as well, but now I think it has gone extinct. But I did discover another podcast called MouseTalk which does the same thing and talks about a classic Disney film. It's just started though with an amazingly detailed look at Snow White.

I also like The Disney Hub which has TONS of Disney park audio.

Just thought I would give this thread a bump because there are a few new/revived podcasts that have come out that I wanted peoples thoughts on.

Mousestation and the Laughing Place are two that I have given a shot over the last few weeks anyone else listening?

I've added Inside The Magic and The Mickey Room Podcast.
Glad to see Mousepod back again :goodvibes

Are podcasts just talking or are they music too? If they do play music do Disney podcasts play Disney music?
