Love it, I'm sitting her listening to Kevins talk about how he was introduced to Disney. I remember this exact story the first time he told it in the early days of the podcast. I love it! I'm having flashbacks of mowing my lawn and listening to the show. This was the show/moment when the show did whatever the opposite of jumping the shark is for me.

::yes:: I love Kevin's story too. I can just picture his mom in that phone booth.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, what is the opposite of "jumping the shark?"

Okay, I know "jumping the shark" is a Happy Days reference...where did "blowing up the fridge" come from?

Ahhhh...I fell asleep in that one. This was probably not due to how good the movie was - it was the second feature at a drive-in and I'm doin' good to make it to about 10 pm these days.

I really enjoyed the show as well. :lovestruc

I love, love, loved this show. As a "short gay kid", I totally connected with that part of the podcast especially. Loved the bits about "Bawb", too. I'm a new listener, so it's great to finally know who he was.

Let's see...

1) I grew up as a fat gay kid who felt like an "outsider"

2) I'm obsessed with all things Disney

3) I'm obsessed with talking about all things Disney

4) I love cleverly constructed restaurant reviews written with intelligence and wit.

5) I love dry, sarcastic rants delivered with a sense of humor

Is it any wonder I love this place ?

This was one of my favorite shows.Loved hearing them talk about the passion for Disney. It reminded me of my self planning for the next visit before you leave to sure your self your coming back. The depression when the week is half over.

I loved the show as well. While everyone on the podcast is very well spoken, I have to say I am really blown away by Kevin's fantastic storytelling ability.

I'm also a fairly new listener and just wanted to say thanks. I've been working my way back through the podcasts and this show helped put all the pieces together. Kevin...you really do have a talent. Whether it be restaurant reviews or the story of how you came to love disney...you have such a descriptive way of telling it...without trying to sound too corny...it makes you forget you're listening to a podcast and almost makes you feel like you're sitting at the table with everyone.

I've been listening for about a year or so now. I've gone back and listened to most of the shows prior to when I started listening. By now I have a good idea of who's who but I loved this show. It was great to get a larger look into their lives and how they got to where they are now. I'll definitely be listening to this one a couple times.

I am a,somewhat, new listener and am thouroughly impressed at the intro show. I cried, in a good way, as Kevin talked about his Disney history. Thank you to everyone who shared their story. T, I am just like you. I cry at the wind blowing. There's always one of us.

So....my story as inspired by the intro show

My first trip to Disney anything was when I was an infant, but remember when I was about 3 y/o. I was born in Newport Beach, Ca and had Disneyland very accessible to me being that we lived in Costa Mesa. My family moved to Eatontown,NJ right after my parents divorced. I have always been a Disney fan at heart, maybe even a fan-atic. My first trip to WDW was in September 2007 when I was 24. This was my first time in Florida, WDW and trip with Jason. After that I went to Disneyland in 7/2008, WDW in 11/09 and 2 upcoming trips this year- Podcast trip with *NikkiBell* in 8/2010 and WDW F&WF in 10/2010. I am always awestruck everytime I walk into MK. I cry everytime I go into the Winnie the Pooh store in DTD. I can only hope that my future children will learn to love Disney the way DBF and I do. That's the Disney aspect of my life.

Now, my life....(get the popcorn ready popcorn::)

I am 27 y/o with a Bachelors in Social Work(BSW) and am planning to graduate with my Masters in Social Work(MSW) in 12/2010 and obtain my certification as a alcohol&drug counselor(CADC); yeah I'm one of those that likes an alphabet after my name. With my certifications I would like to work as a school social worker and ultimately become a play therapist.

I am currently a full time counselor/intern at an outpatient substance abuse agency where I facilitate groups, conduct intakes and individual sessions. I was thrown into this position after being a case manager for a transitional housing program for women and children for almost 2 years. I was moved due to the fact that the transitional housing program lost funding and they needed another person to help with the work at the other office. It took me a long time to get used to it, but I love the client contact and the satisfaction of knowing I am changing lives everyday.

It was interesting to hear that Walter had the educational background that I am working towards. I almost tried to get a job in the jails, but my DBF and family felt the same way that Pete did about Walter. Pete, I commend you on your recovery and never forget the hard work that you have done to get you where you are now. You have a bigger support system than anyone in the "rooms" can only dream of having.

So,anyway. Sorry for the long winded post. I hope that everyone can do this to tell your story so that we can all learn a little about each other.

Thank you podcast friends!! This was an amazing show. I have been a dedicated listener since day 1, and I'm so happy to have found this board 10 years ago! What an amazing journey the podcast has taking and it just keeps getting better and better!! I truly feel like I know each and everyone one of you and I can't wait to meet all of you some time soon in my life. Thanks again for all you do it's no question how much work you all do to make this community amazing!! Thank you, Laurie:)

I loved this show even though I have been listening for around3 years. When Bob was mentioned, it brought tears, I still miss him now, strange to miss somebody you never met.

I love listening to this show even though i am a normal listenerto the podcast, it was still good to listen about the stories on the podcast, I like Pete's story because he was talking about his passion like everyone else like him also Teresas story was sooo sad :'( but still in the end it had a happy ending. Oh yeah before I forget before submitting this

"Stay out of the Dam Lakes" - Pete

PS. This is the best quote out of the show!!!

Pete: what a great idea for a show. Although I knew quite a bit there was a lot I learned about everyone. You really covered everyones life in a very short time. You are all very lucky to have come together and formed this bond. You have caused many lives to change for the better and not just the roundtable members. Christy and I as I have mentioned before set up a second home 1 hr away from WDW because of you. We love it and can't wait to see all our family in December, our DIS family that is.
