I thought the show was really cute. There were small live animals like racoons, crows, porcupines. Now I will tell you it is an open air theater (and not really large). DH and I went late in the afternoon and it was a little warm with the sun blazing down on us ... maybe plan for early in the day. I got a little too hot!
Otherwise it was really fun to catch. I loved the little animals!!!!
Pocahontas comes out and talks about the forest. She sings, talks to the "Grandmother Willow" tree, and introduces a few forest animals. It's cute ... geared toward young children ... but I'm glad I saw it anyhow.
does anyone know if there is a website that posts the weeks showtimes in advance. I thought I once read something but can't remember it was on a trip we did a couple of years ago. Just trying to plan ahead.

not to mention it has the two most difficult and one of the most advanced puppets on property(sprig) he's a mechanical and neumatic puppet. Most people think he's an animatroinc but he's not somebody is underthere making him move.
Although I've never seen the regular Pocohantas show, I've been to the animal training show several times. It's only about 15 minutes usually, but it's really interesting to see how they train (although it's more like they're using positive reinforcement, not just "training") the animals. And Pocohantas is always there-they want the animals to get used to seeing her, and they play the music so that the animals get used to that too. I love to watch it!
