POC keeping it dry

Hi all I was just thinking about what to do with my POC on wet rides like splash or pirates, where sometimes the water splashes in. I remember reading how one person would cover theirs with a Pancho but was wondering if using a gallon size storage bag would work. My POC is an over the shoulder one so it should fit and if I leave the bag open would be okay for short periods or would it get to hot? Any way I would love to hear from others about how you handle wet rides. :boat:

If you feel it won't get bumped or damaged from the ride, I think Pirates should be fine. We have never gotten wet on it. Splash could be another problem, though. I know if our POC was damaged on a ride we would have a serious problem. I myself have never taken that chance.

I would bring a small bottle on the wet rides not worth the chance of damaging your concentrator

Ziplock also sells larger bags (look for the L, XL, XXL) they are huge.

You could also try using a "dry sack" - hikers/rafters use them to keep their gear dry. I've purchased these at Walmart for about $10 and they really do keep your stuff inside dry.

With needing to keep your breathing tube out of the bag, it won't be 100% watertight, but should do the trick as you aren't submerging the bag underwater just preventing splashes.

I have no idea what type of breathing tube you use.

I was reading - and just had to say this to you -- PLEASE be careful & don't do anything to interfere with your breathing! Thanks! :goodvibes

(I feel like I did my "motherly" thing! Thanks for understanding!) :)

Thanks I will look into the hiking gear.
CynJ oxygen bottles are not allowed at WDW just concentrators, the only 2 rides where water is a concern are Pirates and Splash. These have few drops and are not rough. Also I have read where others have taken their concentrator on them. As long as it is secure I just need to worry about it getting wet, as in soaked, I do take walks in lite rain so should be okay.
I love pluto thanks for being a mom.:) However I am 55 and stubborn :rotfl:

Just an FYI, we took the Keys to the Kingdom tour last week and rode POC. Our tour guide warned us that they now have new boats which is resulting in a wetter ride. As of last week, they were not boarding row 6 because they were having to use dustpans to bail out the water. We were in the front row, got splashed but not overly wet.
