We will be at the park this coming Sunday - first weekend of Spring break eeek.

Think our focus is going to be Seuss Landing and Jurassic Park since the boys are 6 and 2. Specifically the play areas. Hopefully there's a shady spot for us to hang out in while they play.
:)

So, I've had a read through the WWOHP thread, and here's my loosey goosey plan.

Since the kid and I are only a few chapters into the first HP book, WWOHP is not going to a make or break the visit for them/him. While the kid is tall enough for the FJ ride, I don't know if a scary ride is a great idea, he's never done one.

I'm thinking tour the castle rather, and depending on how far we get in the book, see what the line for Ollivander's looks like. Then just wander through the village? Since we're not going to be able to last all day, I guess I'll be heading over there early and hope for the best line-wise, and if it's awful, just go to other parts of the park and have a great time without it.

Luckily we will be three adults to two kids, so loads of people to hand the little people off to/keep things moving.

Anything obvious I'm missing here for IOA?

Thanks in advance.

Me Ship The Olive is a fun play spot at well--they can even squirt water at the riders below. It is over by Popeye's bilge barge water ride.

For kids 6 and 2 Ollivander's can be a magical experience whether or not you've progressed far into the book. Watching the wand perform "magical" stuff; books moving about, a wand being matched to the chosen person- is neat in a child's eyes. No ride, and nothing to be scared of. I would go there first just to have the shortest line waiting and then move on to the castle tour.

Flight of the Hippogriff reminds me of Barnstormer when it was at Disney's Toontown. A little more advanced, but my 6yr DS LOVED IT. You might want to consider it, maybe do a child swap?

Check out the public bathrooms for Moaning Myrtle.

Then, walk around and absorb the ambiance. I hear the castle is great at night; that is something I'm looking forward to on my trip!
