I've never stayed at these resorts, in your opinion wich is a better resort? how is the transportation at each? what are the crowds like(a lot of kids)?

I absolutely fell in love with POFQ this past summer. Everything was within close walking distance. Transportation was great--we didn't have to wait longer than 5 min. to go anywhere ( and this was during 4th of July week) Although I've never stayed at CSR, I had friends that did and did not care for it. It was too big and sprawling. They had to walk quite a distance from their room just to get to their bus stop. My vote for POFQ!!

I had the same decision to make, and ultimately decided on PO-FQ. We love the theming, the compactness of the resort and the fact that we have access to all of the amenities of the sister resort, as well!

CSR just seemed too spread out, and when we visited, it just didn't seem to have that Disney feel.

I did see that you asked about kids. Did that mean you wanted them around, or didn't?

PO-FQ will probably have more kids, just because it is easier to get around---that is part of why we choose it, too! CSR is likely to have less due to the fact that it is also a convention resort.

So perhaps that will be the deciding factor for you.

I have never stayed at any WDW resorts. At the beginning of the stage planning, I was struggling between CSR and POFQ. I first chose POFQ but settled with CSR for the following reasons:

-- Love the lake and the night view. Don't like the trees surrounded the buildings at POFQ.
-- CSR has lots of conventions. So disney needs to make a great effort to make it presentable (!! right!!??)
-- love the coffee maker in the room. It is there for you, don't need to ask for it. we are coffee drinkers so accessability to coffee is a must.
-- love the pool
-- love the mexican feel since we are from the north.

But the bottom line is, no matter where I choose, I will be within WDW 24 hours. My life cannot be better than that!

All the moderates are great resorts. It all comes down to the theme you like best. If you like a Mexican/SW American theme, an awesome pool area, a great food court and terrific transportation, CSR could be the place for you. Check out my web site below.

Good luck deciding and have a great trip!

ps - there are plenty of kids at CSR, conventioneers usually bring there families too.

Why is so much made of CSR being a convention resort when GF is too?

Buzz is right on the money. You have to decide what theming you like. I stayed at POFQ twice and think its awesome, but thats just me. I think its the most underrated resort they have. For me there was nothing like a breezy night at dusk when its just getting dark and those street lights come on. its really peaceful and beautiful. Its just a very pleasant atmosphere to be in if your looking for that type of quiet, easy going atmosphere. The size of it is a plus as well. I never really based my opinion of a resort on transportaion, closeness to foddcourts, etc. like a lot of people do, but if that is what you are looking for, POFQ is awesome. But to me you have 2 totally different themes between those 2 so you really have to think about what kind of atmosphere you want to be in.
