Greetings :wave2:

How you all doing tonight?

Nanu Nanu. ;)

We fought traffic to the garage to set up them coming for my van so it can be fixed, to find out they "don't do" transmissions. :headache:

The reason my parents are coming is because they are taking the dog we rescued and paid a thousand dollars for an eye removal operation so his eye wouldn't kill him from its infection and then sent home with them because they loved him so, to a shelter and it is an hour away from us. They are retired now and traveling and don't know what to do with him Mom says. It's a no kill shelter at least, but the poor thing, just bounced right out of another home.

Merle and Tiff, something you want to share with ALL of us???? ;)

Wow, that chicken smells good, my appetite is raging out of control people!

Flurry, I STILL WUV OO!

Hey guys. Don't really have much time to talk but I wanted to stop by and say hi. I feel bad that I haven't really gotten to contact anyone yet, I had planned on texting Angel in the hospital but someone (I think it was my DH but he won't admit it) erased all of my text messages while I was in labor and I didn't have the number saved.

Anyways, Ellery Jane was born on Monday December 3 at 7:32 pm. I went into labor that morning a little before 5 and got to the hospital a little before 7. After having contractions 2-4 minutes apart for a few hours they checked me and my cervix was still only dialated to a 3-4. So my doctor wanted me to walk around the hospital for an hour. I made it about 45 minutes until the pain was getting so bad I was about to pass out. They admitted me and took me to a labor and delivery room. I still had only dialated to a 4 so they said the doctor would come in and break my bag of water and start me on pitocin since I was having strong contractions and still not making much progress. So I asked for my epidural before the pitocin since I was already in lots of lots of lots of pain and had been since 5 am.

Then I got really freaked out about the epidural and cried some but I got through it, and then I felt better for a few minutes until the doctor came to break my water and I found out that the baby had taken a poop inside me and there was meconium in the amniotic fluid. So at this point I was just praying that Ellery would be o.k. They started to put more fluid back in around her head to flush out the poop. Right after that happened her heartbeat started to drop because she was not reacting well to the pitocin. They would turn the pitocin off, then back on, up and down. My cervix was still not dialating.

After about 2 and still no change my doctor said that there was a chance that I would have to have a c-section because I was having good contractions and I still could not dialate. He said he would give it another hour, by 3 it was the same so they told me I would be having a c-section by 4. And that the baby was probably pretty large and that is why I wasn't going to be able to have a normal delivery.

3 emergencies came up before me and I had to wait until 7 before they took me to the OR. My epidural for some reason had stopped being as effective and when they took me back to surgery had to give me lots more stuff and I started shaking pretty bad. But they said that was normal.

Ellery was born at 7:32 and when I heard her cry I started crying hysterically, I was just so glad she was o.k. She weighed 9 pounds 6 ozs!!!! I was shocked! DH of course got to hold her first and take pictures of her while I was being sewn up and shaking like crazy. I didn't even get to hold her for a little while after I was in recovery because I was shaking so bad. It was driving me crazy. But I did get to hold her and feed her for the first time in recovery and she is soooooo beautiful and sweet. I'll have pictures soon.

I'm still in a lot of pain from the c-section and so I'm going to be staying at my parents for a couple of days for extra help since it's still hard for me to get around. I had never had any surgeries before so I'm not used to this! Ellery is doing well, she's such a good baby. She only cries when she's really really hungry. Mostly she just cuddles up and makes all of these sweet little noises and generally I have to wake her to up to get her to eat. She looks a lot like my DH but I think she has my mouth. And she has a little bit of brown hair. I'll be taking her to the doctor tomorrow, she has a little eye infection and jaundice a little bit. I'm trying to feed her a lot more often and even supplement her with formula so hopefully that will go away quickly.

Sorry so long for the update but we just got out of the hospital this afternoon. I'll have lots of pictures soon!

Basher! Rest up sweetie! Ugh, that up and down pitocin is the pits! I love you! So glad Ellery is fine and you are too!

Ash,

Enjoy every minute of every day...they grow up so damn fast.

I'm glad you are all doing well.
