He's scared (never had pneumonia) and his chest hurts but he'll be ok.

Oh the poor thing! My DD had pneumonia when she was 7 - I think I was more upset than she was - both of you hang in there, David, ok?

Teva - behave!

Me too, Ash. I have to force myself to shut off the Big Brother crap and go to bed.

ok msn died on me. i'm off to bed as well. gnight gaNG

Andrew just asked me what I wanted to do for the holidays this year. I said I didn't know, but know I don't want family here. He says, 'what if we do something different this year. I know you will have just been down there a month and a half befrore.....' he couldn't even finish before I said 'you bet i'd go there! Then i'd have a reason to get a annnual pass!' We might go to WDW for Christmas!!!!! I better start looking at prices, I know it won't be cheap! :cool1: :dance3:

:wave2: IT IS OVER! I lived. We found 80 chairs this morning at another church. There was plenty of food-- in fact lots left. I had plenty of help but am exhausted. We got in the banquet and awards presentation before the thunderstorms rolled in. We served the cake and sent them all home and cleaned up. It was a little disappointing because we usually have a pool party and the kids really look forward to the fun relays the coach does and all that had to be cancelled. But my part was the food and and awards and it went fine.

I am so tired I am going to go take a nap before bed time.
YAY!!!! Good job Scrappy! :thumbsup2

Hullo friends! Who texted me at 11:30 ish last night?
wasn't me, I've only texted Tig and my DH.
Checking in from a little touch-screen tv thing from Celebration hospital. My DP is in for pneumonia, so I'm staying the night. Just got done watching Illuminations from the window in the room, so things aren't all bad ;)
 I'm sorry to hear that. I hope he is feeling better soon and not in too long. You make sure you take care of yourself too.

Good morning lovely ladies and gents!

This morning is the first morning of the new routine in our house. DH left at 6 and I'm getting both kids ready for school. Until Caitlin starts, I'll leave at 6:30, but when Caitlin starts school I can't drop her off at the before school program until 7....on the down side that means that I'll get to work later and have to work later at night, on the positive side....I may be able to start stealing the first good morning of the morning while I'm killing time.:lmao:

Conc...how's your DP doing?

NJ...how was the date?

Paige and Tig...you still alive?

Ash.....how's your foot?

OK...have to dress the boy and get on the road....rainy morning with accidents all over the place, so it should be a joyful commute.

Morning everyone! I'm exhausted. Got up at 3am to take DH to the airport. My parents came with me for moral support (and to say one last tearful goodbye, methinks). I cried a little, and so did DH. We haven't been separated like this since high school! It's going to be rough, but I think we can do it. I miss him already, but I'll get to talk to him tonight when he gets into Houston - then he'll be leaving for Iraq either later this week or early next week.

How is everyone today?

Morning all!
David, hugs for your DP! It will be a year ago on the 12th that I was in Celebration hospital with suspected menengitis. All I can say, is have DP take copious notes. :sad2:

Chris :grouphug: sending you lots of love and light.

Ash, balance gets all screwy when your center of gravity is being occupied! Get some sticky things for your tub!

Teva, I so liked ED at first. Why did he have to get so mean? The one person I liked least at first (Jessica) is now my favorite??? What's wrong with this season?

Conc, how's your DP doing? I had pneumonia 8 1/2 years ago. It was a very bad strain (I went into respiratory failure), so not a good comparison. But, I am sending lots of good thoughts and best wishes in your direction! Be firm with his care. That's the only way they got a good Pulmonologist for me, which is probably what saved me. Please let us know how he is doing.

Oops, I forgot, Good Morning Everyone!!!!! And a special hey to Aimee!!!!!!

Hey!

Good advice to David Sharlon! It's sad that you have to be so proactive to get good healthcare. Not even the best healthcare, just 'good'. Everyday was a fight for consistancy in care.

Oh and David. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE a nurse names Marva. :scared1:

      You need lots of hugs!

Snowy, I made it in without mishap (well, other than wanting to throttle the kids, but that's normal).

Connor got to daycare this morning without wetting his pull up  :cool1: :yay: :dance3: (the things we get excited about).

So today is going to get busy soon...I'm still getting the coffee down:coffee:

Conc...another tip...make sure everyone who walks in the room washes their hands, if you don't see them do it (or use the waterless hand sanitizer) ask them if they washed their hands. I agree with taking notes, that way you can write down any questions you may have and then jot down names of test and procedures. Celebration Health is actually seen as a "model" hospital in the rest of the country. I've never been there, but they present their model at lots of conferences.

Aimee...I agree, everyone I hated at the beginning of BB I now despise (except Eric, I always liked him). At this point, I think I'm pulling for Eric, Kail, Jen, Zach, Dustin and Jessica....maybe Jamika. ED makes me cringe every time I see him (and they need to get him OUT....but they need to back door him....I can't imagine having to listen to him scream for a week on the block).

Awesome news on the pull-up, Lara. That's our next step with Patrick, and I'm NOT looking forward to it.

Good morning all....I am just hoping I make it through the day.

Here...I'll send you some good thoughts:

Q What is the difference between God and an orthopedic surgeon

A God dosn't think he is an orthopedic surgeon.

A physician passed away and was being screened for the destination of his soul's eternal afterlife. Unfortunately, he'd been a bit of a lout, a quack, and greedy to boot, so he wasn't quite certain what to expect. Upon arriving at the Pearly Gates, Saint Peter greeted him, and informed the Doctor that he would be allowed to choose from one of the doors before him, but that because of his greed and misdeeds he may find the choices rather hellish. Upon opening door #1, he witnessed fire and brimstone of truly Biblical proportions, a horrifying sight, and quickly closed it. Upon viewing the spectacle behind door #2, he was even more horrified to observe various tortured souls ravaged by plague, disease and other maladies to terrible to mention, while an evil guard stood watch. With trepidation he opened Door #3 to discover therein groups of white-coated male physicians, being waited on hand and foot by beautiful young women dressed in little more than nursing caps! He rushed excitedly back to saint Peter and proclaimed, "I'll take door #3!" "Oh, no, I'm afraid that's not possible," exclaimed Saint Peter. "That's NURSES' Hell!"
