Ash!

PLEASE take care of yourself. And keep us informed. I know you have my number. Call if you need anything. Or just to talk. Health stuff can be scary!

Ash    I'm so sorry you're going through this. How scary this must be for you.

Oh Ash! How scary! Thank God the CT scan came out negative. Go rest. :grouphug:

It's weird b/c when I was laying on the table they had this little box on my finger and it would sound an alarm when my oxygen got low. I actually passed out three times in total today, but luckily the seizure thing only happened once, the doctor thinks because I was sitting up when I passed out.

Hey Ash, DH just reminded me that he passed out cold after a cortizone shot. It didn't happen immediately, in fact it was about 10 minutes after the shot. Your passing out and the headaches may be completely unrelated.

That sounds like a pulse ox, Ash. It's to keep track of your oxygen levels. (Any nurses, please feel feel to correct me if I'm wrong.)

I don't think it was related to the headaches either. I've been known to pass out after getting shots or getting my blood drawn. The seizure scared me, but when the CT scan was normal, I don't think it had anything to do with the headaches.

Ding-ding-ding, you are right! I'm not a nurse, nor do I play one on the Dis, but I did have near fatal pneumonia 8 years ago, and am intimately familiar with pulse ox, ventilators, and IV bags, among other lovely medical things. Yuck!

I learn something new every day. Even if it's not in the greatest way, lol. Well goodnight everyone, see ya tomorrow!

Good night everyone! Sweet dreams! And extra sweet dreams to you Ash, after a day like today, you deserve them!

So you call them Mommas little helper huh ;)

Denile, it just ain't a river. :sad2:

I'm thinking about entering drama queen mode... so not wanting snow tomorrow. If I have to have this damn EMG test I just want to get it over with, not end up with slick roads and maybe a cancelled test. And they'd better not cancel school!

Snowy, you do need your OWN computer!

Hi Robin!

We need a party room. Or do we have one and I'm not in it? LOL

I'm not in a room. :sad1:

Hey everyone, I'm staying at my parents house again tonight so I won't be able to get on msn or anything. Actually I'm probably just going to take the medicine they gave me and go to bed after I type this.

I had a pretty rough visit at the dr. I had my blood drawn and my TSH levels are being checked for my thyroid. My blood count looked good, but I did have high blood pressure when I went in, probably from pain and stress. I did fine with getting my blood drawn but then they gave me a shot to try to get rid of this headache. When I first got it I felt weak and like I was going to faint. I had to lay back down on the exam table. After a few minutes I felt like I was o.k. so I went out and paid and left. My mom was driving me.

I was feeling like I was going to pass out, but I was already sitting in the car, while talking to my mom about how to get out of the parking lot I passed out and then I had a seizure. I've never had a seizure before. When I came to, I had no idea what was going on or where I was and I heard this weird ringing noise. They came and got me with a wheelchair and I went to a bed in the clinic. The doctor was worried since I had been having this headache since friday and then I had a seizure so he ordered a CT scan. They were going to order an ambulance to take me, but I didn't want to have to go through ER so I had the seat laid all the way back in the car and my mom drove me to the hospital.

I had the CT scan and it came back normal (yay, i was soooo scared) and now I've come back to my parents house. The dr. prescribed Lortab for me to take so I'm going to take that and go to bed. Hopefully the results from my thyroid test will be back soon and I can get back to normal. I think I scared my mom and everyone at that clinic to death. The nurse said I scarred her for life.

Oh Ashy.

Ash  I'm glad you went. I hope you get your test results soon. That is so scary! And I'm sure that didn't help your doctor-phobia. Feel better.

Boy!!! Dis is dead tonight!! :worried:

I need to laugh!!! Who will make me laugh??? :confused3
