Hi everyone,

I've been going to FL since I was a kid (I'm in my 40's) and know that the summer afternoon rain showers/thunderstorms are a given. I'm headed to USF next week and I'm seeing that there are PM thunderstorms predicted for each day. I'm kinda bummed. In my adult trips to FL we've always gone in May and had purely sunny weather. So, please get out the world's smallest violin for me and play it for me while I ask silly questions. Which rides at USF and IOA close during rain storms? Do folks act like they do at WDW - scatter and leave in the PM if it rains or do they hang around and wait for re-opening? TIA

Here is your violin...

Most of the rides are indoors at the studios
RRR is outdoors and shuts down if there is lightening 5 miles out
You will do more rides at the studios when it rains heavy

Ioa has more outside rides than the studios

Check the park map online to see that

We will be there next week as well. Past history with weather predictions has been mediocre at best, it's Florida if you predict afternoon storms you will be right some of the time. I just prepare for a storm but never try to plan on the weather predictions for more than a day ahead.
